Good job Spencer. Nice even rounds on that main stem. Those would be great splitting if you were going to burn them. You’ll have to video that leaner. I took down a nice black birch this week. Beautiful smelling wood.
Nice vid as ever. I've got the holzforma Chinese ms200t and it's taken a bit of messing around to get it running well. Replaced the fuel and air filters for Stihl ones, shortened the line on the spark plug boot etc. But the main thing has been loads of fiddling around with the carburettor. That little saw sounded like the low screw needed adjusting to stop it bogging out as much on full revs. Just a thought and someone might've already mentioned it in the comments but it's worth a go.
You said it man: monkeying around with those carb screws has helped a lot, though I always feel like I'm experimenting when it comes to carb adjustment. Plenty of power and a bit more control now ... definitely less $$$$ out the door :)
I find it pretty funny you go for the cheapo equipment all the time man 😂, it like playing the little grab a toy claw machine games they have in the entry of a grocery store. Love the vids man, stay safe out there 👍
The saw just sounded funky when tou were cutting! Im looking to getting a small battery chainsaw for limbs by my chipper. The only thing is they are bloody expensive. Not sure if this saw would be a good alternative. Cheers!
As we get older it seems we don't have the time , patience and energy to work with crap tools. When i was younger i started with crappy tools, had an old corded electric drill that didn't have reverse, now i would smash it against a tree.
Enjoyed the video. A couple weeks ago I took down a maple very similar to that one......a fun tree. I did all the limbing, topping and half the spar with my DCS-2500T. Finished it up with my Echo 4910. I like the looks of the leaner. I'd like that job. AND that Neo is junk in MHO.
Nice video, and great job brother. I'm glad you mentioned about the ground crew. Because if you didn't, you know I was going to, lol I think you should dock their pay just a little bit. That would definitely get their attention. 😂 Anywho brother, thanks for the video. And my Father YHVH bless y'all.
For me I just use the Uni for a backup anchor/lifeline and for coming down out of the tree. When climbing/pruning/limbwalking I'm still more into the rope runner. I have noticed that the Uni runs a lot better on thicker ropes, like my 11mil. Devices are just different and everyone seems to have a favorite
Nice video. Just ordered an Echo 2511, so I was hoping I didn’t waste my money when I saw that cheap thing. But I think I’ll like the echo after seeing this video. That Neotec was sketchy!
"Ye get what you pay for." "Buy cheap. Buy twice." Etc. Have to agree with Mr Z below. Less patience as one gets older. Fun to try it though. 😁 "Hellaciously sketchtastic" 🤣
@@metaspencer Good riddance to it!! It's an invasive, crap tree. I have one that I'm girdling (along with the mulberries) this year. Leaving them for habitat.
Okay brother I'm just now starting to watch this video. But before I get over a few seconds into it. I need to know one thing. Are you saying sticky mulch or stanky mulch? 😂
@@pastormike5054 oh that’s cool! We all want power, reliability, and great controls for actually using on the job. Stihl and Husqvarna have pretty good examples
That's actually a decent little saw 😀 The starter cover on mine is a bit different... I have the "chainsaw" branded version... It's a good little runner believe it or not I have the exact same one guilty of treeson made a video with.. I dropped mine 40 feet (yes really) from a tree and it fell just right in some brush on the clutch side... only thing that happened was a couple of the mounts got out of place... as far as cheap chinese products go you can't ask for much more... I've also talked to another youtuber that made a video about it and he told me he passed it on to someone and 2 years later it was still running... not sure what the deal is but farmertec sells a very similar saw but with only one bar nut... I'm assuming yours is the 2 nuts... now on to the rest of the video!
@@metaspencer mine actually runs pretty stable... they probably aren't put together consistently... I know a fleet command trouble shooted several air leaks when he was running farmertec saws... ymmv for sure
Knock the saw all you want... It looks like it did the job just fine! Nowhere is it written that it's made for Professional work and knowing that you take it on the Job and relentlessly criticize it for not being the Pro. chainsaw you use. Not a fair analogy. Get Over Yourself. It's a great little chainsaw for the purpose it was built.
@@metaspencer I’m looking at the G395XP. Can’t beat the price but I’ve heard it’s a hit or miss thing. Hoping it wasn’t built on a Friday or end of the day. Lol I’ll let you know my thoughts when I get it & use it. Stay safe
@@rickstafford5316 I look forward to hearing about it. in the FB groups I've heard those hit-or-miss descriptions: one guy loves a saw and someone else says it konked out on the first day
Nice work. Excellent cleanup job.
thanks buddy

Yeah we've got A LOT of splitting in our future around here :)
i admire your patience persisting with that annoying saw... you certainly gave it a good go. great job as always dude. loved the video.
yeah I was mildly frustrated -- not the feeling you want when you're out doing a job. speaking of which: I hope the new job is treating you well!

Шикарные видео. Я только начинаю заниматься деревьями и ваши съемки добавляют желания заниматься этим. Продолжайте в том же духе)
Удачи там! Будьте осторожны, делайте это медленно и учитесь многому!

Grasshoppers???? Thank you for sharing
haha ... ya noticed!
The saw just sounded funky when tou were cutting! Im looking to getting a small battery chainsaw for limbs by my chipper. The only thing is they are bloody expensive. Not sure if this saw would be a good alternative. Cheers!
Yeah I love my little echo battery saw, but you're not joking: the batteries alone cost a fortune!

nice job!
thanks buddy
The NeoTech seems to be a step up in power from a battery powered saw that costs the same
Yeah definitely more power and faster chain speed ... just unpredictable
@metaspencer not the kind of excitement I look for

It would have been great to have the 2500T up there for sure. Dang Neo-Tec is a freak show of a saw ... Yeah, the leaner will be a good one

A pay reduction! I'll have to run that by the boss and see how it goes :) Good hearing from ya man
I'm gonna be honest...more interested in the grasshoppers then the chainsaw!🤣🤣🤣
Everyone has a little different taste I guess haha
Great stuff man love the content keep rockin
Thanks buddy ... always a good time out there
That NeoTec is scary, lol. The first and last job you do with it I’m sure 😂
Yep, you said it. Super unpredictable. Unless monkeying with the carb fixes it, not worth the risk
Another nice job and vid 👏
Thanks man
Good work . Listening to that junk saw was painful for me
You said it man: not the kind of headache tool you want with ya up there
Glad to see you back in the tree’s. How are you liking the Uni? I’m curious about getting one but I love the zag and rope runner
I believe that the most important thing about a chainsaw is how easy it is to start. After it’s warmed up, does it always start on the first pull?
Yep this saw passes that test ... starts up great when warm. But it took some tuning to get the dang saw to run right AFTER that point
Norway maple? Those have been brittle when I’ve done them. Maybe cut further into the branch union to get the peel.
yeah and this time of year they're pretty dry ... you're right about that collar cut
Spencer I'm wondering on the yellowing climbing type line how do you usually tie in?
Either running bowline or steel biner
Sometimes canopy or basal anchor
Nice video. Just ordered an Echo 2511, so I was hoping I didn’t waste my money when I saw that cheap thing. But I think I’ll like the echo after seeing this video. That Neotec was sketchy!
Oh you're gonna love that 2511. It's still my favorite small saw ... give it some time to break in and it'll be a good one
Whats that pink saw in your box?
That's the REAL saw in the truck
Sweet video. Where do you dump your brush? (is there a fee?)
Yeah, dump in town charges by the ton
❤️👍👍👍
Not even joking....that's a good looking rake. How about a rake review?
Rake review! No joke: you've gotta have the right rake for the job :) I'll see what I can do
You use your lifeline to pull down the trunk ????
It happens… another bad idea

Yeah you said it: worth what ya pay for. A few little flaws and the thing becomes a beast of nuttiness
I may have tossed that neotech in the dump trailer from up in the tree haha
Yeah you said it. I was running my Stihl yesterday and thinking "Man it's nice to use a good saw"
I kept trying to freeze frame it to look at the leaves but still can't tell. Was it a Norway maple?
Yep you got it ... good squinting! It was a really nicely developed and formed tree, but the guy just didn't like the location

Crunchy like popcorn only twice the bounce

Hello Hello sir. 👍
Sir! Howdy
So it this saw not ergonomic?
the ergonomics aren't too bad ... I must have mispoke. the problem is more the unpredictable nature of the throttle and carb

No ground guy, and filming?
My ground crew is perpetually illusive :)
The only way these saws work best is after a person does some modding to it.
I see your point man ... definitely some tuning is required out of the box
I can't do the grasshoppers 🤣
too crunchy for ya? :)
That saw seems a bit anemic. I'm sure it has a use but I wouldn't want it. 😜 Keep up the not how to videos!
