just figured out that the reason they teleport is because the sleep effect puts you on the ground, so when they get the sleep effect it just finds the nearest ground to put you on. since they are already in hitstun the sleeping part does not happen
the amount of insane shit i've never seen in this is sick, those effects frick up everything eh still cant parse how roy ended up on the platform at 1:20 lmfao
I THINK it’s either the sleep effect or the DK grounded effect that teleports them back down. But then WHY would he teleport to the right instead of the ground straight below him??? It all happened by accident, too, but I just kept it in lol
No, I believe if both players die at the same time during sudden death, the winner is determined by port, hence why Falco (port 1) was decided the winner.
@@narwhalz02 For this case, I checked the frame by frame and it seemed like Roy was twirling one frame ahead, judging from when they first became visible. But anyway, thanks for explaining what would happen in that case.
I wish some of these hit effects were more common; many of them have only a single move with them in the whole game, and that move is generally not super useful. We have: -DK side b (bury) -Ice Climbers down b (freeze) -Mewtwo down b (stun) -Jigglypuff up b (sleep) And there are no moves in the game that use the flower or forced screw attack effects!
the only thing I can parse is that a frame before he teleport'd he was at the top of the screen in his standing animation for some reason, and where he teleport'd to was the same platform where he was last on ground
0:39 lol, what is that movement from roy??? And what the hell happened at 1:17? And at 2:10? And again at 2:26? how can they just snap to the floor after getting hit? They should be in hitstun and crash onto the floor, or they can tech it, not? I thjink I've seen a video about taking Randall for a ride through the stage before.

TAS battles are SO much better when the creator knows how to play the game on a competitive level

I imagine it being real players shittalking

Only a Skilled Roy can teleport anywhere and clip into the stage so he can ride Randall whenever he pleases
Guess I've some practicing to do.
Wtf

fr wtf was that?
^
I'm just gonna assume one of the random effects giving you an insane amount of SDI leniency is how he ended up there, just a hunch 🤷
the only other teleport I've seen even close to that is the Luigi platform warp
My guess is it's some weird ECB (enviromental collision box) jank that prevented it from updating
1:21 ????????????
Yeah for real man xD
Both TAS went full wizzy sdi lol

Very good
The fuck happened at 1:21 dude hahah
Gigyas in Fantendo's Super Smash Bros. Charged be like:
Gonna tell my kids this was mang0 and DontTestMe at Genesis 26
imagine a long commentary video explaining every shenanigan, like riding randall inside the stage, teleporting to random platforms and invisible shine
That's not a bad idea 👀
@@banddgames 4 hours explanation incoming
finally a reality where roy's moves are actually useful
Yeah, it’s called smash ultimate.
I love the use of Fly Guys in this.
What happened at 1:18?
Can there be a 2nd sudden death?
No, I believe if both players die at the same time during sudden death, the winner is determined by port, hence why Falco (port 1) was decided the winner.

G&W Judgement freezes with an 8.
Otherwise yea, many are tied to items and not characters.
@@hounvs Good call, I forgot about that one because of how useless it is LOL (though I guess all of the judges besides 6 and 9 are pretty bad)

@@plumebrisee6206 no it doesn't. Jigglypuff Rest does in Brawl and beyond, maybe you're thinking of that.
0:58 what happened to falco here? I don't think that's how Roy's dash attack is supposed to work LOL.
Lol no, it’s not. Falco got caped by the dash attack, so he didn’t receive any additional hitstun from it.

the only thing I can parse is that a frame before he teleport'd he was at the top of the screen in his standing animation for some reason, and where he teleport'd to was the same platform where he was last on ground
it looks like it has something to do with the screw-attack effect putting on a different effect like sleep as well. It's so cool
lmao the smaller timer

Someone's going to have to explain to me how Roy teleported at 1:20, unless that's a random effect as well

This shit is crazy godlike tas
My friend and I would play this on 20XX a lot. Super fun. We made a tier list for this game mode with puff, fox, pikachu, and luigi at the top.
This game still isn't broken
Could you let Roy win next time, pls ;-;
do a tas where super mushrooms can stack on the character. 20xx has that option. would be crazy to see!

so quirky so random XD!!!!! taco potato!!! RAWR~~~~
Are you still using RNG manipulation?
Yup! Most of the RNG manip was used to avoid getting the screw attack or the ice effect
