That was definitely one of the most aggressive sets HBox ever played.
And it was paying off!
Insane adaptations from Zain but even more insane meta shifting gameplay from Hbox. Aggro puff vs fox/marth and Puff's best stage now being FoD vs marth are crazy. Really goes to show the work Hbox has put in!
this was one of the best sets of the year, I feel like hbox has been in many of the best sets this year
Starting off you could tell this was gonna be different with the 2 rests off the bat.
The Jigglypuff ditto, Hbox vs SDJ at GOML is for sure one the best out of any set of the year. That was wild!

Seeing Hbox play so grounded and agro is definitely paying off for him. I have not seen an Hbox-Zain set be this close in years.
This is also after Zain 10-0'd Mango like a week ago (Mango who also has been doing very well). The top of melee is so cracked these days.
Hbox's major win is inevitable.
Your puff has gotten super aggressive yet you still know when to just try to wall him out you were wavedashing into him and playing on the ground a lot more super fun to watch

This is probably the best that Hbox has ever played in 20 years...and still Zain manages to fight back and win. Incredible set!

This is an incredible set. It feels like Hungrybox is focusing on how he wins, not just how to not lose. I always felt Dreamland 64 was a stage about not losing, and trying to just outlast people. These stage choices feel like HBox wants those Ws, and will push past what’s comfortable and reliable to find them.

Hbox is in great form, just a small change in winds and he would have had this. I need to see more of him in the coming year because this set just tells me he's almost back to Godhood.

It sucks he didn't win but you can see he takes zain to his limit which is something zain didn't always have to do against hbox but recently it has been rough for him to win against him

Juan if you read this, i think zain has another speed level he can play at. I dont think he’s holding back consciously but whenever he feels threatened, he plays faster. You need to try and play at that level all the time or he’s always gonna be ready to take you to 11.
