I’ve lost too many loved ones from overdoses and it’s an awful, helpless feeling. I feel sorry for Michael’s family and true friends who really did try- like Ernie. RIP
Im wondering what drove micheal back to drugs....I mean, the amount of hate he was getting post release must have had an effect. Im also wondering wether he was unable to move on after his release due to this hate. Just watched the new documentary and it just makes everything seem so sad and such a waste.
@@wordscontrolminds Trying to find someone or something else to blame an addict's desire to use on isn't really helpful. It wasn't the hate, it was Michael had an addiction & unfortunately he didn't receive help for that addiction. Going to prison doesn't just cure somebody. There are plenty of drugs inside & even if he was stone cold sober throughout his entire sentence, it doesn't stop the addiction.
@@sese6227 see that’s the thing once they diagnose you you’re done they convince you that you’re an addict and you’re gonna be like for life. They put a label on you keep you on the dole. This is a learned habit and you can unlearn it. It is not a disease you didn’t walk down the street and catch a line up the nose it doesn’t work like that but as long as you believe that you are an addict and you will always be an addict you’ll never unlearn the behavior. If you can’t quit cold just moderate it. I’m trying to be condescending this whole ideology is not helping anybody maybe a few but the most relapse again and again and again because they convinced their afflicted with this disease. Which is the furthest from the truth
@@wordscontrolminds I’m surprised he didn’t go off the deep end sooner. The world he was released into was nothing like the world he remembered. No crazy clubbing, nobody celebrating him, nobody really paying much attention to him. He would have had to completely build himself up from scratch, and he wasn’t strong enough to do that.
I hope that there's peace for everyone and a chapter is closed. I do not wish anyone anything bad. I wish life and peace above it all.

Dang Michael, got your own place. Off probation i would imagine, thus no drug tests, and bam, your gone. It was a wild ride knowing you. I hate to admit ,i knew it would end this way. @@spookshow6999 you give him too much credit. If every junkie that fell off the wagon and OD’d did it because they had killed somebody, there would be a lot fewer people in the world. He was a star, he was celebrated, and then he was just a regular person nobody even thought about. He was too weak to make himself over in a positive way, so he slid back into drugs. Took the easy way out to make him feel better.
He could have had undiagnosed autism or adhd he acted out of control all his life without fearing consequences. He was very childlike.

Let's be honest. Michael died a long time ago. Pretty much the day Angel died. Then he died again when he mutilated Angels body. Then again when he was imprisoned for that crime that he never fully understood.
The words make pretty sentences, but you can’t use them with such certainty. I’m sure he understood the crime he pled guilty to, and had years in prison to contemplate.
RIP I hope your tortured soul can finally be at peace. I can't count how many of my friends I've lost to drugs or related issues. You love them so much,there like your family but when you're going in completely different direction than them there is only so much you can do. You have to separate your self or they end up trying to bring you into that BS whether there trying to our not, it's there addiction. In the beginning you try and save them,give them money, housing, try and get them treatment. There is a point when you have step back because no matter what you do to help they lie and steel from you, you can't fix them they need to fix them self's then go from there. No one truly understand unless you have been in that situation. You only see glimpses of who they really are and the rest of the time it's this thing that is wearing your friend or family members skin.

I know the dark places drugs brought me when I was active and I can see what it does to people .. it completely changes who you are and the scary thing is it becomes so normal to you, you really can't see what everyone else does. I became fascinated with the book/movie/case in my teens for some reason. At the end of the day these people just weren't in their right might. I refuse to believe Alig was some monster tho. :/ Idk.

The club kids all grew up. It's sad what long term imprisonment does to an individual, he was still a child trying to pick up where he left off.
@@Skaterbun yeah you could see so much of that in so many of these videos. I don’t know what the answer is. I don’t think we should let criminals go free. I live in a city where our DA is doing so (San Francisco) and those criminals are now murdering innocent people. So I disagree with restorative justice. But it’s also obvious that people like Michael don’t benefit in any way from jail either. Although perhaps drug longterm rehab for his obvious addiction would have been much better seeing as that was the real problem after all, and Michael clearly wasn’t going to be a lifelong criminal as it was a one time self defense drug fueled incident

Michael did a lot of stuff in his past that was terrible yes,but i think deep down he was a good soul, he had an innocence about him and vulnerability..i always noticed when anything related to his crime was mentioned he just sank deeper it was written all over his face how much shame and guilt he felt .

It was years later that we met I don’t really know what you’re asking or saying he committed a heinous crime and he did a lot of time for it and sadly there are people who commit lesser crimes doing much more time as the police have stated this would’ve been self-defense have they called the police and not chopped them up in the little pieces and put them in a box but that’s the reality of life people kill and people are killed so always know the people you’re around it and watch your Ps & Qs I guess I don’t know I mean what do you say I’m trying to celebrate a moment in his life that was good and you’re taking it with me one day that was bad
