Dude it is absolutely insane how much work you are getting done! Filming makes things take double the time, sometimes more, so you are a certified machine. Forget the flaws, that thing looks fun as hell.
If you ever decide to fix the berm, you could just use a large sheet of paper to make the template you need. Just lay it down over the curved plywood and trace in the bits to cover the gaps.
“You’re at Seth’s Bike Hacks house, and there’s a tree in the middle of it.” That sounds like an accurate amount of sketch for that channel. Liking the content, mate! Keep it up!
sick hack with the relief cuts in the back of thicker plywood to bend it instead of buying more expensive thinner sheets and layering it up. I had considered this but I'm doing it for sure now! thanks dude!
Congrats on picking up a sponsor. I used squarespace as well. It really is a good product. I remember when I subbed I think you had like 6k subscribers. Big congrats to you dude. Keep up the great work!
This is really dope. Looks like you could benefit a bit form learning to bunny hop a bit. Maybe build something to work on that but on the step up you could pop off it a bit more.
Noticed when you where doing the step up you were almost Doing a pedal stroke here's a tip that could help try to keep your pedals level and basically do a bunny hop into a lip of a jump
I'd recommend using 3/8" plywood, AKA, bendy ply. I don't know if you can get it in PT, but it's cheap enough you can just replace it as needed, or you can paint it. As a benefit of being easier to bend, you can cut your pieces slightly oversized, lay them on temporarily, then trace for your cuts.
Brilliant, watched you help Seth, so cool. Just do what your doing, dont go blog or you could loose people, they may miss blog esodes and go else where.
You know you should come to Okemos and help us make a trail we've started but it was originally a hiking trail but we've aded some lips and table tops but it leads to a pump track
I like to build skate ramp corners. That can relate to this. Well building the pump wall you put the ply wood on 1 by 1 you should of set them all in place then screw 1 sheet that connects to both sections that way there will not be a crack. And you put the 2by4s on the wrong way and double layer the wood
On the next berm you build, leave the decking plywood wide and trim it flush after it's installed. It'll be easier than trying to layout a complex curve.
I'm over here Southern Illinois right across the Mississippi on 40 hilly acres building trail if your ever pass thru. Not a lot of wooden features yet as I've only lived here for a year but my trails are long, mostly downhill, and gettin flowy as f$&!
Instead of making relief cuts, you can soak the wood with water (with a garden hose) and then they bend into place, you just have to clamp them down for a little bit
There are spaces because she plates are straight if they aren’t bend. They need a sleight curve. The easiest way to do this is to use plaits which are wider and if they are mounted you can cut perfectly parallel to the ground structure
Hey, we're building a backyard pump track in the UK because of your video. Thank you! You mention you'd share the design plans, how do we support you and get the plans? Cheers.
Take it from a carpenter: that pressure treat is nasty business, it's definitely worth using a respirator or at the least making those cuts outside in some stiff wind.
Dude it is absolutely insane how much work you are getting done! Filming makes things take double the time, sometimes more, so you are a certified machine. Forget the flaws, that thing looks fun as hell.
Good pointed
You guys should make a collab video and test out his track
you finally made it as a TH-camr with that Squarespace sponsorship congrats bro
Hahaha that's all it takes huh? It's like having a birthday..
mom - "Do you feel a year older??"
me - "What?"
keep doing what you're doing and dollar shave club will be next
@@niki_nine6831 ahahaha Is that the big one??
@@BackyardTrailBuilds nah the big one is Raid Shadow Legends, I here they give a full-grown cedar tree for every view
Well damn... That sounds like our boi...
0:00 anyone else think he sounded like seth’s bike hacks
Sam Woddman Seth sounded like seth
Yup
Last week... (that is why)
YES!
Yea I came to the comments within the first 5 sec to look for a comment like this
If you ever decide to fix the berm, you could just use a large sheet of paper to make the template you need. Just lay it down over the curved plywood and trace in the bits to cover the gaps.
Sheets of cardboard would also work and can be found easily for free.
@@brandofluck Yes, cardboard is a thing that I totally didn't forget exists and would be easier to use.
EmJay or use sketchup and Male it exact
Great idea
“You’re at Seth’s Bike Hacks house, and there’s a tree in the middle of it.” That sounds like an accurate amount of sketch for that channel. Liking the content, mate! Keep it up!
Yeah, that's a really accurate description of one of Seth's newest features on his property.
I love how you're a normal rider! Not hitting 50ft jumps at whistler and other things that most riders will never be able to actually do.
but.. what if he's working up to it? lol
sick hack with the relief cuts in the back of thicker plywood to bend it instead of buying more expensive thinner sheets and layering it up. I had considered this but I'm doing it for sure now! thanks dude!
Do a blog of the pump track plz
6:22 "but its sturdy" *entire thing shakes as he hits it with his hands*
Haha Its sturdy trust me. It's like the fully iron coffee table at denny's that just needs a couple pennies under the leg!
@@BackyardTrailBuilds 😂
Build content is always vloggable in my book. I would watch.
Pro ramp building tip. Use a circular saw to cutout transitions. You get a much nice cut and it's easier. :)
You and seth are the reason I made my own trail
Always come for the build and stay for the tunes...or the other way around? Who knows - either way is perfect!
You should upload more often
Such a cool build, keep it up Seth
Congrats on the sponsorship! I remember seeing your first video, you’ve come a long way. Great series dude!
You should do a vlog series
💯
No
Big wrap up vid! With OneMTB riding the rollers with you!
I’m loving this series
You are seriously underrated and a pleasure to watch tank you for making such amazing content
Hey bro. I'm from New Zealand and I build houses for a living when I'm not riding . That's the coolest build that I've seen for ages man nice work!!
I vote for the long edit of building the rest of the Pumptrack.
Keep adding to your pump track and make around your hole yard or property line 🤙
That’s awesome you got sponsored
You made it!! Fun to watch.
Personally I like the big edits, vlogs are fun but honestly I don’t watch them all the way through. I can’t wait to start building again!
Big wrap up video I really enjoy these and get so many ideas, thank u
Awesome to see you picking up a channel sponsor, hope it means we're going to be seeing more content or at least more ambitious projects.
That looks absolutely fun 🤩 I’m loving 🥰 your videos lots of work is done on your part
Loving the blogs tbh mate your vids are about the right length for what you do
Congrats on picking up a sponsor. I used squarespace as well. It really is a good product. I remember when I subbed I think you had like 6k subscribers. Big congrats to you dude. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Parker! Yea, they really are. I'm pretty stoked to get them on board for a few more videos! Glad I can keep you sticking around my dude!
This is amazing. It would be my dream to build something like this.
"But first, here's 3 hours of work in 5 seconds". Ah the life of a you tuber
Once per week is a lot easier to keep up with and keeps each video really interesting in my opinion
Ur channel has come so far I remember when u had less then 5000 keep it up ur doing an excellent job out of ur work
I'd love to see a vlog style post every day. And thank you for giving me dirt works information they might be able to bulid a pump track
I simply cant wait to see your videos
Great video! Make one big completion video.
awesome stuff bro! it's been so rad following the progress of your backyard bike park!
7:51 What drone are you using?
vlog style all the way
wow! it look so much fun!!!
Hell yeah bro good job keep up the good work

Of course dude!
Let’s complete that circle!

Big edit, brother!!! Fan from Corpus Christi
Amazing Vid!
Various Artists , I Wanstes to write exactly that 😹
Also connect all your transitions then put on the ply. This allows you to over-lap and create a stronger corner.
I would do this but I want things to stay modular. This way I can move the pump track around!
@@BackyardTrailBuilds Gotcha. That makes sense. Amazing creativity and I'm loving your content.
Wow, that’s pretty dope
Me: thinks about building a small kicker for a year and a half
Backyard Trail Builds: builds pump track with berm in a couple of months
Less than a couple of months
@@bradymccoyyy Me: *sighhhhh

Do a vlog series so we don’t have to wait as long😂
to the question you asked at the end - whatever you like best man the content is great either way
Stick with the longer edit. Keep us anxiously waiting
This is so cool! How are you not bigger!
You know you should come to Okemos and help us make a trail we've started but it was originally a hiking trail but we've aded some lips and table tops but it leads to a pump track
Okemo in Vt? What’s the trail called
please do the vlog style videos for the rest of the build!!
Big edit is my vote
Nice work getting over that
I like the big edit idea
Soak the plywood in water. It makes the sheet playable to screw in. And when it dries it will hold shape. You also won’t get cracks when molding.
Considering that you built it in a few days it’s awesome 👏
I would do one big edit, and then cut it up into vlog sections after. Also, I like soup.
You should come out to springfield in the summer and ride with our high school mountain bike team!
I like to build skate ramp corners. That can relate to this. And you put the 2by4s on the wrong way and double layer the wood
First a roller
Than a pumptrack
Now a huge pumptrack
On the next berm you build, leave the decking plywood wide and trim it flush after it's installed. It'll be easier than trying to layout a complex curve.
Man does your backyard trail system come along niceley!!! I would prefer the long edits cause your edits are truly awesome
I would recommend leaning more and pumping into the giant berm you made that way you can get more speed. You probably shouldn't have to brake.
I'm over here Southern Illinois right across the Mississippi on 40 hilly acres building trail if your ever pass thru. Not a lot of wooden features yet as I've only lived here for a year but my trails are long, mostly downhill, and gettin flowy as f$&!

Love the channel!!
Desert Gardens Oasis in Lobo, Texas needs one track!
Dude you are freaky good!
The song that started at 4:53 sounds like When the Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin
You should post vlog clips on your Instagram and do the finished product on here. Either way I’m watching so whatevs. Keep it up bro!! Good shit.
if you pause at 0:09 mini seth's back tire is legit bottomed out. what PSI is this !?
I think you should make vlogs of the build
I vote for big edit ;)
I'll take a pump track and jumps in my backyard over a pool any day.
😂✊
I wouldn't mind a vlog type thing.
wow.good job man

Pretty rad
Pup tracking is fun
Next time you build a burm make the pliewood wet with some warm water. It will be mutch easyer to bend
That song around 5:00 is so good
That is very steep!
Take it from a carpenter: that pressure treat is nasty business, it's definitely worth using a respirator or at the least making those cuts outside in some stiff wind.
I started using one after the first day... I woke up with all kinds of crap in my lungs!
Mix it up with the vlog style 👊🏻
Wow that is cool
Dude you should invite seth bike hacks over for a week and ride everything in your back yard
