@@thegoldenageofalbowlly2759 I REALLY appreciate your reply and interest in my work, thank you, an easy mistake to make. yes, that IS Nat Gonella. I think youve all made a TTERRIFIC job of the al bowlly remastering considering that sadly only 2 major clips of him exist. the colourisation is terrific, i have been a fan of al bowlly, dance bands and the interwar period since i was 6 and am now 71!!
i have tried via the wonderful medium of pinterest to pass his work and the general history of his times to a younger and up and coming generation before it is all archived lost and forgotten
. they dont have to like it or love it as i do but i feel they have a right to at least see and be aware of the wonderful talent of that era
in this, im afraid i have rather fallen foul of "purists" by mixing elements such as dr who and fiction boards in with it but my aim is to "sell" an otherwise "geriatric" subject matter to youngsters of all ages, and i feel i have been quite successful in this
the "al bowlly circle, i feel is a "clique of middle aged bowlly "worshippers" who treat him as a "deity" or a " saint". i disagree with this al bowlly was a real man! a real person with real faults as well as qualities he had a fiery greek latin temper and was quite oppiniated and argumentative but with a TRULY wonderful voice!! it is THAT we appreciate,
i feel theman would rather be remembered as an entertainer than a saint! on that matter i have fallen out with the al bowlly facebook circle who think they "own" al bowlly
nevertheless, over the 4 years i have been gathering this film and recorded material from u tube to pinterest , the latter have been absolutely MARVELOUS to me. i must have driven them mad at times
. i wanted , also to develop the scope of pinterest from "little interest boards" into bigger "book " type mega boards and i offered myself as a kind of "prototype" for this scheme.
pinterests help has been enormous and more megaboards like mine are appearing
i DO thank you for answering to my correction and i thank YOU for all your assistance and support
      yours truly steve lawson (bowllyology.com@pinterest)

Steve from Reading what you said I can safely say you and I are exactly on the same team. I agree with everything you said above as I've seen this for myself. I once made a very bad mistake by posting one of my first videos in a Facebook group supposedly fans of his music and received nothing but abuse that was a wake up call for me. I seriously couldn't understand what I did wrong. I'm very thick skinned and have no problem with anyones feedback but they were just being nasty for nastiness sake. I have come to learn that there are some that don't love the music they are in love with the very badly recorded sounds and the harsh hisses of the gramophone needle. Steve stay tuned I've just had a break through in enhancing the quality of those beautiful songs I kid you not. The channel past perfect has done an amazing job at that and I would never want to take anything away from what they have achieved in doing that but I have just gone a step further I'm not saying my ones will be better but for me I am amazed and overwhelmed with how incredible the music sounds in what I have done. In fact I think I may have to re upload my videos with the new sound because although the videos werel very much inspired by the music I think I the sound compares nothing to how I have enhanced it now. Wait until you hear it. I'm just thinking how I'm going to introduce it because I think this is going to be a great turning point in that people will now be able to acrually hear the instruments and the beautiful and very clever arrangements of these performances. Steve that's a promise. Gonna upload something soon maybe a medly just as an example of what I'm talking about. You better prepare your ears because you will be amazed lol 👍

I am happy that you made this version available. It seems to be my mission to refer to Bing Crosby and Al Jowlly for every person who listens to Whitetown, Dua Lipa, Xanti and think they are the originals. It drives me nuts, including people who thing THOSE versions were inspired by John William's Imperial March. I don't know much about 1930s music, but correcting people on this one thing I have made my mission. : -) Keep up the good work!

@Sarvente Cat ignore Bobby boy lol he's just a saddo. He's one of those strange people that gets his happiness by thumbing down people's stuff, always remember there's always a thousand other people that would rather put a thumbs up, it's the same with life too, you get the odd one that might say nasty stuff to you for no reason but that don't make his oppinion stand because you know theirs hundreds of others that say different. Sad to hear you deleted your vids because of losers like him. Don't let the trolls win, just laugh at them and tell them to zip it just like you did here. By the way that made me LOL 😂💗
