Although Agafia will accept food and products from others, she won't accept anything with a bar code on it. She was never comfortable with what they are and thinks that one day all of us will be forced to have bar codes on us. I think she's got a point there!
Known of her story for years and wondered if anyone still contacted her or what had become of her. Great to hear she is doing OK. Sometimes I envy a life such as hers without modern conveniences. Watching in Kentucky, USA.

Жила,в 40км,от Агафьи и не знала,15лет я уехала с Хакасии,но отец мой был охотник,и ни разу не вышел на её заимку,но к ней так просто не попадешь,родители выбрали защищённое место,кругом неприступные скалы и река,только по реке,как втайгу пройти знает только она,очень сильная женщина,сама себя обслуживает,здоровья ей,и больше жизни❤

I began my love for Agafia from the "Babushka Women" documentary and I'm so delighted others follow and share her daily life with us. I get inspired by just watching her. She always has a smile on her face. She's never angry and has patience for every living thing.
I’m just watching her on my smart TV and she’s got a dog and cats , how on earth did you get these animals if she’s live in 100 km from civilisation.

I watched the first report on Agafia seven years ago. It's marvelous she is still healthy and strong. God is certainly blessing her. May she be kept safe.

She has learned more trades and developed talents that most people couldn't fathom in their lifetime. She is truly impressive and I'm humbled at her work ethic and skill. She is hardcore no doubt, I'm in awe.

Been following her story for years. So sorry her family was lost due to illnesses of first contact with outsiders.
Her family did not die from contact with other people, the story I heard was that her siblings left and went to the city to go to university,
they never came back or even contacted her, her parents died first her mother then her father, not sure why her mom died but her father and her lived together for years afterwards, then he died and she was left alone.
if her siblings are dead now then they are all elderly so it is to be expected. but they left to start lives in the city.
she visited in town as well but she would always get sick because of the air pollution, she developed a tumor and had to have surgery,
and the last I heard she had to leave her home and go to live in an old people's home. she had tried to get someone to come live with and help her, but she didn't find anyone, what happened to her home I do not know,
So this documentary is old already. that was what I had seen on a video of her over 4 or 5 years ago.
@@barb.gerhard9501 Several of her siblings died shortly after the family was first visited by outsiders. One other died from an accident, If I recall. There was a documentary interview where that came out.

El señor que vivía cerca de ahí era el mismo geólogo que los descubrió en los años 70, pero creo él ya falleció y hace unos años la llevaron ala ciudad para ser valorada por médicos, recientemente le hicieron una cabaña nueva muy bonita y ha estado recibiendo ayuda de voluntarios y también del gobierno. Una mujer muy fuerte y valiente 💪😉🙏🙏

And we dare to complain about the life we have. We should all be thankful for every single thing, every single breath and most importantly we should love and appreciate our family and friends.
I have a special respect for people like her. although she lives alone, for whatever reason, I am sure she never feels lonely.
I have been following her life for years too. It is fascinating. I do think their parents should have made some effort to ensure the children could marry and have children however as the children did not take an active choice to be where they were. However it does show us the old ways and there are useful lessons for all of us from here in the UK and others in Russia and elsewhere about self reliance, good foods (avoiding obesity) and a healthy life.

Truly a pure soul, pure in spirit, body, and mind un contaminated by the world. Keep checking on her although she is strong now, as she ages, she will lose her strength of body. Staying self sufficient is important to her life, but the demands of living in that environment will eventually be too much for her.
She certainly does not look in her 80's. A testimony to her organic and pure life. I rejoice with her that she is away from the evil Russian dictator ruining her lovely country and the good Russian people.
