He definitely looked like a guy playing a new position/out of position at times, but the foundation is there both athletically and mentally. I would honestly play him in a Big Nickel and have him play the NB/Star position.
Otherwise I’d say him and Wester are Will types and could possibly play in a rotation at the WLB spot.

Remember they asked him to switch positions halfway through the season.. Now he has the entire offseason to prepare and add weight. Look up Dru Tranquill for the Chiefs.. he was a safety at Notre Dame and now he plays LB

Year before Prime arrived #43 as a first year starter was tied for 14th in the pac-12 for tackles, every DB who had more tackles is in the NFL.
Year before Prime their center was PAC 12 freshman of the year…then he allegedly became a bum but now he’s starting at Oregon State.
@@MrSilus2000 I doubt if he were ever considered a bum, because of team aspirations & expectations---last season CU players might've been rated based on Championship performance standards or just didn't perform well in CU particular scheme or system-- and still developing to their potential ability. I mean thus far is CU current starting center that much of a difference than last year.

Trevor Woods is a monstaaa dude can ball fam. He just need time to develop meaux and boiiiiiii now that he is closer to the ball it's going to be a wrap.
Life long Buffs fan. Trevor was one of the very few recruits from the prior regime I was excited about after watching his HS tape. What jumped out was how instinctual he was and the knack for making plays on the ball. Both of which have translated to college-level. While I really believe he's best suited for Safety, he can be a really solid LB. Just wish his position change was done a year earlier, but understanding it was done out of necessity. Regardless, he's a baller and will find his way on the field in some capacity. Great film breakdown...as always much appreciated.

Lots of potential needs to work on tackling better in space and definitely instinctual. I love how he was so plug and played into the linebacker role. Wester hits the gaps faster, but his coverage is 50/50, so trevor woods for 3rd and distance coverage.

If all CU's LB's are as good as people say. they have depth and almost to many LB's to make CU a great or very good defense,
Mr. Woods is NFL ready and he reminds me of Zach Thomas on some of those plays.
*Woods is a Dawg with High Football IQ. He will flourish at LB and can help in coverage against RBs or TEs.*

trevor is a decent LB. I'm pretty sure he will get beat out by the LBs coming in. Passing downs/situations will be the only time he get in. Better at safety....NFL probably an undrafted free agent

Because of Big-12 running game style of play, raises the question. Should CU drop the nickel scheme load the box switch to a 4-3-4, based D? Seem like they have the LB talent, varied as it is, to make it work. I mean if you gon play to the strength of team talent.
Dude runs a low 4.4 and jumps 37+. Stats like Tarzan, plays like Jane. And we dont think he will do well, not solely because of him, but because last years dline was so horrible even the decent lbs looked like crap.
Also he makes a lot of mistakes. Blown coverages.
I thought that Prime brought in some REAL LINEBACKERS from the portal to upgrade the defense. SO WHY ARE YOU AND OTHERS TALKING ABOUT TREVOR BEING A STARTER AT LINEBACKER? If the defense is going to keep the same people starting in the Secondary and at Linebackers, THE DEFENSE WILL BE SORRY AGAIN THIS SEASON!

They did say that Trevor will be a starting linebacker. He’s too small to deal with 300 lbs. linemen and 250 lbs. tight ends! Yes last year’s defense was sorry and was the main reason the team had a loosing season missing Bowl eligibility. IF THE BACK 7 IS NOT UPGRADED THE TEAM WILL HAVE A SIMILAR SEASON AS LAST TEAR!

Doesn’t change fact Woods recognizes play just takes him few seconds to react. He has great instincts lacks the athleticism to get to the ball

NGL Woods as safety was tough to watch because as instinctive he is; it’s like his gather takes few seconds to kick in (foot in mud). He is best at red zone coverage; a liability deep coverage. Just lacks athleticism to match up in pass coverage
He too slow to get burn anywhere else.....coach trying to get the boy some shine anywhere he can an not hurt the team
