I think this first time I've ever seen a band cover a song from another band that was prominent in the same era that the band covering the song was, and from the same genre and covering the song in the same style. And THEN they make an official video? Like it's some new night and day different version of the song? Example, song Blue Monday, originally written and performed by New Order and is originally a new wave 80s pop song. Covered by Orgy in the 90s and played as a rock/industrial song. Two very different styles and genres of music yet the same song but a different song at the same time. This is like listening to a local band cover a song from a band that plays the same kind of music they do, and not doing a good job at it. If you're not gonna make a major change to the style and sound of the song you want to cover, then you just shouldn't cover it. I'd say there's maybe one exception to this, come together by the Beatles, which has famously been covered by other famous artists, for example Aerosmith and Michael Jackson have both covered this song, and while not a lot of style differences were applied to the covers, they still turned out great. This, again is not an example of that situation.
