Disney World Passholder Goes to Disneyland for First Time!

Oh Man Disney heads to Disneyland for the first time together. Albert has never set foot in Disneyland so Isaac thought now would be a great time to take him there. Find out, which one we like best, as we compare Disney World and Disneyland. Ride vs Ride, food vs food and so much more as we take on both parks and realize once again that Albert isn't really a big Disney fan. So will he even enjoy his time, only one way to find out!

Oh gee! 25 and a half minutes of Albert trying really hard not to like Disneyland (and chew with his mouth open the whole time)! I think a second visit is in order as it’s clear his defensiveness with WDW is still very prevalent. I think all Disney parks around the world have their own special place within the entire Disney realm. But you have to admit that Disneyland is unique in that it is the only one that has actually been enjoyed by Walt Disney himself. Therefore, it’s so cool that Disneyland is as much as a Disney history museum as it is a theme park.
I used to live in both Central Florida and Southern California, but live in the Bay Area now. If I had a choice to be a local at either park, Disneyland hands-down. If I had an entire family and we only had a week to go on vacation to a Disney park, I’d choose Walt Disney World. Different vibes and different purposes.
In general though, I feel that Disneyland is just built and presented with better quality when compared WDW. It also has more changes in menus, new characters appear sooner, the CMs are nicer and more “in character”, and the overall community atmosphere just makes you want to come back again and again. I’m sold.

That's a cool way to look at Disneyland like it's also a museum as well! Albert loves Disney he knows it deep down inside. Also we're both awful for chewing with our mouths open. I call it full flavor extension. Now that we got Albert to Disneyland, I told him we have to make sure we cover all the events they do out there as well! So I'm sure we'll be back!

Albert, while maybe away from this video probably can be a good guy, acts as if he would rather not be there. It makes the whole thing unpleasant to watch.

Disney World has way better hotel options and massive, beautiful wandering non-ride spaces like Epcot and AK. And lots of great bars and Gideon’s. Plus way more table service restaurants. Lots more shows to see. - Disneyland has superior weather and way more rides packed into a walkable space so no time spent on transportation and you can get more done - plus it’s less crowded in the Parks and lightening lanes are easier to get. Also characters all over the place with no need for LL to see them. Better quick service food.
World of color is the best show.
I love both but not the weather in Florida -all that rain and humidity.

Nailed it. Agree with everything. We would say well Isaac would say Disneyland has better quick service options or at least better quality quick service options. Florida in January and February best months to visit.

"That familiar....chlorinated...Pirates of the Caribbean smell..." WRONG! It's not Chlorinated, it's brominated. Smells completely different from the one in Disney World, and the boats from California were sent to Florida when they were deemed not safe enough. Look it up.
I love both parks, but my loyalty is not blind just because I live in California. I take each park as its own entity.

Taking my husband to DL for the first time ever this fall. I grew up with DL and he grew up with WDW so I’m curious how he reacts to everything.

They both have great qualities but since we’ve pretty much lived at WDW the last 10h years and I haven’t been to DL since I’m wondering if my opinion will change. We will see. He’s a BIG Marvel fan too so I’m curious if that will sway his vote.

How would u prefer DisneyWorld over Disneyland. I am not a local to both parks and I would prefer Disneyland all the way. DisneyWorld makes me feel anxious and there isn’t a lot of rides so it’s a waste of time and momey

Disneyland in Isaac's opinion is better but Albert seems to disagree.

I'm in Texas and usually go to WDW for the holidays but am going to Disneyland this Dec. for a change. I much prefer WDW because I love Epcot and AK. Plus WDW has so many more places to eat. WDW has a Plaza also so am not going to go there. Space Mt in Disneyland has better seating and smoother track but WDW has a better queue. I am looking forward to the Haunted Mansion with overlay because I just saw the movie and loved it. The Pirate ride is definitely better at Disneyland but the queue is not cool.I am looking forward to Indiana Jones and Radiator Springs Racers.

But don’t forget that Disneyland is right smack dab in the middle of one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world. You’re still probably closer to more places to eat from wherever you stand in Disneyland property than you would be at WDW.

If staying on Disneyland property for me (Isaac) it just seems so less stressful than staying on WDW property because I can walk everywhere. Yes there's less things to do, but sometimes that's a good thing because it allows more pool time. Radiator Springs is amazing. In the end any Disney park is a great choice!

The best advice I can give is using genie+ to get lightning lanes over and over.
