How We Feed Our Dogs A Raw Food Diet | Simple & Fast Recipe - Grind, Freeze, Thaw & Feed

We grind every other Saturday (in this case, Sunday) hundreds of pounds of raw dog food to feed our American XL Bullies. The key is freezing the food to 0°F which inactivates any microbes such as bacteria, yeasts and molds. We sometimes switch the vegetables we put in our food for variety but the usual ingredients are:
✅chicken
✅carrots
✅green beans or broccoli
✅pumpkin
✅sauerkraut
✅chicken organs - we got chicken livers this week
✅NuJoint DS (hip and joint support) and NuJoint Plus (vitamins & nutrients)
We believe that dogs absorb nutrients better feeding them this way since dogs thrive on a diet that’s rich in quality protein and low in carbohydrates and sugars. Feeding them 100% raw, we see a healthier skin and coat in our dogs, reduction in doggy odor, less poop to scoop and increased energy in our pups.
🍗Grinding the food is also an important step in this process. Many raw diets contain whole bones or slivers of bone. These bones can fracture teeth, perforate (poke through or tear) the intestinal tract or cause a complete blockage. Grinding is a step that will prevent these possible dangers that may harm your dog. Grinder we currently use is the Weston Pro Series™ #22 Meat Grinder ( 1.5 hp, 1120 watt motor).
