There is always gonna be a meta being pushed, the switch hitter team was just cheesy af. At least the Castillo boost is just live series so there is some variety in it

Luis Castillo live series boost with Trey Mancini’s orioles boost. Wild card Adley if you have him, Roberts if you don’t. Team is absolutely stacked.
Recently did this when I was grinding TA and it’s insane how good the team was. Was batting .927 with mancini on 15 games hall of fame

Castillo Buxton 33 tier combo of S2 Acuna Trout, S2 Tatis, Gunnar 3B, Mookie or JRam at 2B, Judge DH, S2 or LS Harper 1B, Salvy Perez or Napoli at C. Lots of speed in OF
End of 5th and Trout has 5 hrs! He’s double boosted! Along with Judge, Gunnar and depending which Harper used as well
Loving seasons. Like the new grind and variety. Wild cards make for some cool combos.
The Arenado/Castillo Captain combo is doing work for me rn. Tier 3 on both. Boosts all my cards to 92+ outside of 1 89 overall

Except it’s not. Castillo/arenado boost is the best boost for anyone who has all the good live series cards and it’s not even close. Devers boost is a very early season boost for shitters, you will never last online with the horrendous fielding required for Devers boost

The phillies hitting and pitching captain team boosts makes Phillies pretty stacked RN with LS Trea. Harper. Ashburn and Schmitt or bohm as wild card.

Devers/Seranthony Dominguez with +22 power both sides is great. Wild card Jimmy. You also got Harper, Castellanos and Dahl. Fill out 4 phillies pitchers and you are there. I have tier 3 on Devers and 1 on Dominguez.

My dubmass sent Arenado to exchange on accident so now I have none of the season 1 captains. I didn’t play much season one so I’m running an extremely cheap Santana + Castillo boost. Still have mostly diamonds tho.

I got the Phillies dream team and it’s overpowered rn because of Bryce Harper and all of the good Phillies players under 75 fielding
They need to revamp regular theme teams and make it to where we dont need an 87ovr captain card in our lineup. Just make it to where having a certain amount of the same team can give you a theme team boost and have different tiers for having more players from the same team. The captain card usually ends up being the weak link on your team. The Castillo captain is great especially for us who did the Babe set and have every live series card. It also makes it to where i dont have to buy any cards from the marketplace cause there arent any that would start for me and i dont have to grind since no TA card can compare to my boosted live series cards. I also hate how for some captains its difficult to know who fits that captains boost. The ones that boost certain years and stuff like that. I just think they need to revamp regular theme teams and do away with those 87ovr captains.
I don't mind the Luis Castillo card. And Twin Justin Morneau is no slouch at the plate!

Hey guys - wondering if I dispose of a player do I lose the PXP progress of that player. For example - I’ve made solid progress with cornerstone captain Castillo….but if I want to swap him for Devers for a bit and then bring him back again will he still have all the pxp progress I made or I’d have to start over again?

Ya I have tier 3 Castillo boost and tier 2 arenado my god they might as well be 99s the hitting stats are insane jusge is 125. 87 125 125 lol the only bad thing is the 87 contact against leftys but my got him ozuna yordan there all insane
That’s because they essentially are 99ss. Any live series card that’s an 89 or higher who gets both those boosts is 100% better than any unlockable season 2 card currently in the game and it isn’t even close.

I have tier 3 Devers + tier 2 Phillies pitching captain (forgot his name) + WC Jimmy Rollins. I’m getting +25 power to both sides to the below 75 fielders that are Phillies like live series Trae Turner becoming insane with 90s power with 99 speed, Castellanos becomes a monster, the new London Dahl is crazy, and Rollins gets into high 90s power with just the Philly boost. I use the new architect Tatis Acuna and the 99 speed Dback. I love this lineup

I am at tier 3 with Devers and 1 with Dominguez. You should be able to get to tier 1 with halloday, seranthony, strahm, new reliever that just came out (forget his name), rollins, harper, dahl and castellanos. I put Jimmy in CF and Trae at 2B. Have the new Tatis at SS. Speed up the middle with those 3.
@@d_e_m_i_s_e1484 that’s exactly how I have it. I also filled my bench with Phillies since the bench doesn’t matter anymore because of DH.

It's so much fun playing with high 80s players in the middle of June. I love starting over and losing everything I grinded for. NCAA can't come quick enough. I'll give you credit for trying to make content on this game still but this game is cooked.
With 4 wild cards + babe Ruth and other good core cards like Pedro and piazza, I didn’t feel like I was losing much and this keeps the game fresh. What did you expect? More 99s to just keep coming out? How is that fun? How many 99s with the same stats can you make? Sounds like you’re just broke and have zero stubs

I was excited to finally earn Babe Ruth before the live series cards pumped and he’s a disaster. Forget pitching. He’s BP for the CPU on Rookie. And Im hitting .250 with his pool noodle vs CPU on veteran. My 89 diamonds are batting .600-.700.

If you’re getting hit by BP on rookie difficulty with a 99 pitcher I’m sorry but you’re just terrible bro. Don’t blame the card. I can throw perfect games endlessly with 62 overalls on rookie. He’s also the best hitter in the game bar none with one of the best swings and amazing quirks. AND he doesn’t take a wild card.

Garbage. Lefty stacked with is horrible for online and terrible fielding which is horrible for online. Castillo + arenado gets you way more well rounded players that still have just as much power as Devers team

, it’s the exact opposite. Devers boost only good for people who don’t have season 1 babe Ruth completed. For anyone who does castillo boost is superior and it isn’t even close. Plus you can even throw an arenado boost on top of that if you want.Yordan,Judge,Trout,, mookie betts, Juan Soto, seager, and jose Ramirez live series cards with the boost are better than any card with any boost in the game and will be until 99s come out. Then add on babe Ruth, your wild card which if you don’t go arenado you can bring posada for first base or go with Rollins to play cf or middle infield, the team is just cracked. Piazza core card for catcher you’re set with a full team

How do you not have live series done I had only the cheap diamonds not one of the expensive ones and I had about 200k I flipped for like 2 hours and finished collections pretty much just selling 99 prince fielder and 99 posada making 3-4K per sale and the prince fielder cards just fly off the shelves I put in 10 buy orders and in 5 mins there already sold

I wish the game would allow you to throw runners out at 1st from RF. I beat so many slow runners on a throw to 1st but my 1B won’t be standing on the bag. I hate slow power batters. I run a speed team and if they can get to 1st then they’re almost always getting home through stealing, bunts and sacs.

I missed the buxton boost
Same, finally got trout and it’s been nerfed. You give up plate vision not sure why was done. Kind of understand the switch nerf because not giving up anything like speed fielding or vision. Would have been nice to see Trout Henderson others double boosted Buxton Castillo combo
To the maximum and the buxton helped Judge in outfield as well with that speed fielding boost and it’s been lowered now

Used buxton today combined with Castillo just make sure generate season 2 squad then filter off season 2 only cards and he’s there
My diamond Ketel Marte still one of the better bats on my team and have Soto, actually pulled Murray but he went down cheap n like Giambi more and can’t sell him for some reason. Glad I took Francisco Lindor captain s1, thought he was better than most current 2b to use

When you play madden, by January, you dont use the cards you earned in September, and also, the power creep takes months, atleast in this case we get to have fun building a team of 99s 3 times, also, in season 4 you have the option to use any card youve collected in previous seasons, so enjoy it and have fun because IF THIS WAS madden, we would just be creeping into the 91 range with the ultimate freeze program and we would all be using the same damn team. Atleast we have variety, epsecially when they drop the missing wildcard inside the S2 colkection reward path 😊
