She feels young, technically she is, but she’s been singing for 17 years in a professional capacity. She’s put a lot of work into that effortlessness.
This is the type of singer that gets my full respect. It's crazy how much better Miley Cyrus is without all that vulgarity and cheap music. This is so beautifully sung. I loved her cover of Nothing Else Matters too.
Very true, I wanted to write her off years ago when I saw someone shared her Backyard sessions.. I clicked past it but then thought wait let me try being all spiritual and give her a chance afterall..
I was so rewarded and impressed and appreciated that lesson. My two favorites from there are the cover of Look what they've done to my song, and Jolene. Check the Backyard Sessions out if you haven't already. There's also a duet of her with Dolly Parton singing Jolene, where Dolly shares that she's her fairy godmother

Her raspy, deep, beautiful voice when she sings is amazing to listen to. She can quite literally sing ANYTHING. She makes every song her own. love hearing her sing.

This is the Miley Cyrus I truly enjoy. The crazy over the top concerts mean nothing to me, actual demonstration of her talent and wonderful voice here and in the backyard sessions really show her talent. She has a chance to be a legend not just a pop star.
Her concerts arent over the top at all. She doesnt do outfit changes . Its her singing and killing it , shes a legend and a rock star

Seriously. Her rock and country covers are top notch. Soo good. I would definitely buy a covers album from her. Or an originals album where she has a similar sound to these sessions.

My favorite one that he would play/sing was The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald ❤️. It’ll be a year Feb 15 that I lost him to lung cancer.

It's unfortunate that so many will never give Miley a chance , simply because of her earlier wild days as she was trying to make a name for herself. She has a beautiful voice that gets better as she matures.

No doubt about it. She’s got powerful lungs. Check out her version of Jolene and that’s all you need to hear. I’ve listened to music for a long time. All genres. She stands out among a lot of great artists.

I admit I'm one of the many who said "forget this chick" when she went wild. I'm an all-genre music fan, but she was just too much for me. Anything she put out musically hid deep in the shadow of her over-the-top persona. Hearing her lately sing these covers is like discovering a new artist. She is truly talented. Her voice doesn't falter. She sings like she talks, and I love it. Beautiful rendition.

Miley has one of the best voices out there and she is completely underrated. There are many very very popular singers today especially a certain female singer, that she could sing a circles around with her extremely powerful voice. Damn I was almost tearing up at the end after a minute or two of chills. It must have been hard to convince some people that you had a right to be out there doing it not just because of who you were related to but she's clearly an independently successful talent at, and on, her own level.
I really appreciate how this karaoke-staple song was delivered with rawness and emotion to make it seem heartfelt and fresh again.

One of my all-time favorite songs. No one does it like Steve Perry live in the 80’s. No autotune back then and he was phenomenal live. I was lucky to get to see it. But I will say she is damn close. What a talented singer I so much enjoy her this way, then with all of the craziness that usually surrounds her singing.
