@@MrPsychopathy Dude, the core gameplay was already there in 1997, had Chris Taylor had more time (like literally a year or two) we would have got game as advanced as BAR in 2008 already... this is not next gen this is just "wow wtf this could have been already done almost 2 decades ago"
@@Igor369 Yes, but we didn't now did we? Not like he could have simply pressed a button and gotten to BAR graphics or complexity either. So your point is useless.
Pretty sure at 36:16 Kierkegaard suicided his own commander or something similar, and blew up his own teammate Tomsm and his whole base. They were insulting each other like children from they start. What a bunch of salty chumps.
there is something masochistic about this game, if you hop online and spectate any game everyone is crying all the time but they keep playing its quite weird, maybe its a generational thing but people my age dont do things they dont enjoy
@@phutureproof I love how this comment gives me absolutely no information about how old you are. Gamers have been salty about the game they're playing since the 70s.
@phutureproof my man there Is indeed plenty from that era, in fact one keeps issuing lawsuits whenever his record is questioned, about a certain nintendo game. Wonder who?
I would be really curious to see some kind of squad structure where you break these massive teams into squads and have a designated coordinator for each squad who each speak with one another about what their squad mates need. It would be interesting to see what kind of results you could get with that.
@@BrightWorksTV Haha, I like the idea of departments, like each squad is in charge of a different part of the battle. You could do it that way or you could have each squad mate take on different roles which probably has it's own advantages and disadvantages. It would be so cool to play around with! Maybe people will try it one day.
Idk why ppl like this game so much, I need aesthetic for a game to be good, regardless of if It's free. You have super advanced units and forces who stand in British line formation lmfao
aesthetics is often like a box of chocolates without chocolates, BAR is chocolate without a box, TA is not graphically appealing but has a lot of admirers.
I think it looks great. It's the army of a Von Neumann machine, it's not going to be slick, it's going to be functional. Plus there's a LOT of detail on the models for a game that can handle THOUSANDS of units blasting away at each other.
You know you're in for a good one, when the minimap looks like the inside of a bag of Skittles.
😂
being able to have so many players on a game style such as this is epic as fuck.
Being able to have thousands of complex interactions at once and maintain 30fps is epic. i can only imagine the debugging for that.
algo love
Yeah I really couldn't agree more! It's messes like these where we really get to watch people's creativity shine
I haven't got any random silly english songs this morning, but I do have time to watch a cast from the one and only BrightWorks!
crazy stuff, gg
now THIS is what the game is meant to be! so many shots that looked like box art for a videogame!
I see BAR.. I like
Now this looks like a next gen RTS.
"Next gen" lol. It is literally TA from 1997 but with better graphics and a bit of QoL.
@@Igor369 That's like saying FIFA 2024 is just NES Soccer.

That's a cool idea. I imagine the drama of different leaders desperately trying to find resources for their department would be hilarious

This RTS game requires a lot of teamwork and people knowing to do their roles, be it front or backline.
This is insane
12:10 APM overflow 😂
More of these, please 🙂

I think CooPmyJanus is Raikoh in disguise. It might explain a few things....😆
It is.
Will you cast the 30x30 game from 30k player celebration? (it was on Jade dragon i remember, it was such fun mess)
There were many. Three lobbies were going at once.
Lostdeadman has 4 of the games cast on his channel at this moment if you're looking for more
This is one of those games but I'll keep my eyes out for any others that looks especially epic :D
I believe CooPmyJanus is actually Raikoh, and they just changed their tag
does the game have a unit and or building cap ?
It does. They're both part of the same limit and in a normal game it's around 2000 but in matches like this it can get as low as 500 per person
@@BrightWorksTV Wish the cap changed based on buildpower and such.
Do a 60 man FFA
More Brightworks :D
Madness 😂
How in the world can you tell who is on which team? There’s literally green players on both sides!
Yeah admittedly things get pretty confusing over about 12 person teams or so XD
You don't. Fire away
Is it just me or are the maps a little too small?
For 60 players? Yes
yeah, SC maps were massive, these are very scaled down
I would love to play a game like this to bad there isn’t anything remotely close to this on console
time for a PC my brother :)
This is the heart of beyond all reason absolutely chaos
60 fps running great!
Noice
30v30 tournament?lol
Why didn't they keep the same name for the factions and units from TA?
I imagine there's some legality issues but aside from that I think the idea is to differentiate the two more and more as BAR Approaches steam release
BAR is so much more than TA, the differences are important in my opinion
because this isnt TA
It's still Core and Arm. Having your own identity while making your roots recognizable is important.
