I like watching i have a 350 utility basically same build. My gas tank was coated at one point whoever did it never got it properly cleaned out prior to coating was a big job to clean it up again. I recommend not coating unless the tank is cut open and cleaned as the baffle in the tank makes it impossible to do a thorough job.
Ahh a great video on an interesting project, with a few cool cameos to boot! The effort you and your team put into delivering the world this content is very much appreciated, thank you!
I love seeing big country boys gettin shit done where pretty much everybody else is lost REPRESENT btw your mechanic reminds me of cooter from the newer movie dukes of hazzard keep the videos coming.
Fill the old tank with muratic acid and water over night to make it brand new inside,Then you can go about the braising.Id love to see the video on it!Or maybe youll be able to find a tank!Fun little project man.
I have got a 300 utility I have always said there's something odd about this tractor there is no torque no two point hitch it just I've always said something's odd about this tractor well the other day I saw a video on an international 300 utility Wheatland and there's the tractor I figured out what was wrong with my tractor that's what it is it's a Wheatland
From a German perspective, it's really unusual that a tractor has spark plugs and a carburetor, even an old one. I think there were almost only diesel tractors here, like, ever. Probably also because diesel fuel is subsidized by the government and thus always a few cents cheaper than gas, but even more cheaper for farmers in their farm equipment (it comes with a dye so that it can't be used in diesel automobiles, at least not without leaving a definite trace).
You know I have no idea why it took American farmers so long to adopt diesel fuel you seen the first diesel tractors in the United States in the early thirties but it was until the late 50s early 60s that it started to become common place to have a diesel tractor also in the United States farm diesel is tax exempt and it has a red dye in it if you get caught with it in your truck or automobile it's a very very hefty fine thank you for watching I hope you enjoy the video
It may be a similar reason why you don't really have many diesel cars - over here, for every car (except it's a sports car or a supercar), you can get a diesel version of it as an engine option. Or even multiple diesel engines to chose from, sometimes even more than gas options. Yes, I did hear it run, although not as it shall run in the future, so it's an ongoing story of tractor restoration :)
In Brazil Diesel can't be used in cars, just in some trucks, heavy trucks, boats and aircraft equipament. So since we started to receive less equipament from US we started to use more Diesel in Agricultural equipment. But still some very old ones still runs in gas.

Indeed, it would work, but also would make the walls thinner. Maybe a new plastic fuel tank or another one that is metal. :)
We just use small rocks and diesel fuel. Shake the tank for a while and its clean.
WOW THAT IS AMAZING!!!!! the lights never work lol.
Get the gas tank replaced and it'll probably fire right up and run for another 60 years!

I would use red-kote fuel tank coating. It puts a plastic coating in the tank. O'Reilly auto parts sell it.
Excellent
I like a lot the reality in the eyes of Doctor Tractor looking into the Crazy D's dream of a cooler shop! :)
