Samuel Kivuitu is the largest scapegoat that Kenyan politicians have ever created in our history. The gentleman is completely innocent.Politicians are the guilty ones.
@JOmondi1 I hate banging the point home again and again lest I sound like a broken record. But I will simplify it for you to understand; Kivuitu needed real powers to disqualify mischievous candidates and yes, that includes Kibaki and Raila. Just doing a repeat of the same process with the same characters and same rules which had failed would have been disastrous. Ditto. Money without insight to rectify a broken system was not the solution.
@kijijikubwa This is my take thus my personal opinion; Even though the entire process was flawed, Kivuitu is chastised because he did not announce Raila as the winner. Even today there are people who still believe that rigging was only in central. And there is nothing you can do to convince them otherwise. You can compare Kivuitu to a class monitor with rowdy students who don't respect authority. And after they decide to burn the class Monitor is blamed for not instilling discipline.
Based on comments here, the issue of the last general election results is as delicate as it was 3 years ago and tribal overtones stick out like a sore thumb. At this point, we need not dwell on what could have, would have or should have happened at KICC and subsequent days.Instead, we need to pick up the pieces, press on with the march to electoral and civil freedoms and keep the Kenyan flag flying high.
@alexi2wandaho5 no i disagree. he had a duty towards other kenyans to deliver the correct information. He was also arrogant in the process. He owes us an explanation
Seriously speaking what wrong did this man do? He had no powers whatsoever to disqualify rogue politicians. Then the politicians ran an Acrimonious campaign led by Rt lieutenant raila odinga. Nyanza had over 1million votes were rigged. Kibaki and his cronies rigged in central. Kivuitu had no way of establishing the truth. Kivuitu was just a stooge to announce results. Just because he announce Kibaki and not Raila does not make him a villain. If it was vice versa he would hailed a hero.
@JOmondi1 And it didn't take long to expose one lunatic fighting fervently. You can choose to ignore facts and act ignorant but the truth doesn't change. The power remains in disqualifying candidates who interfere with the voting process. Otherwise, cancelling and repeating the same fiasco is reckless and just a waste of time. Second time round would have been a disaster increased tenfold. If Kivuitu had the necessary powers; Kibaki, Raila and many more should have been disqualified .
Raila rigged, Kibaki rigged. Period. Kivuitu had powers to annulled both. He did not. He was partisan. KUVUITU, unless you come out and kneel before the kenyans and beg for forginess, the innocent souls will haunt you FOREVER AND EVER
I'm here right now courtesy of Chebukati wafula
He shouldn't have feared anyone. The truth is, we are all corpses in waiting. We should only fear the one who will take care of our souls.

Kivuti just tell the public to forgive you or kenyas will still have negative perspective on you!!
Yes he should have done that before his death
Raila rigged, Kibaki rigged. Period. Kivuitu had powers to annulled both. He did not. He was partisan. KUVUITU, unless you come out and kneel before the kenyans and beg for forginess, the innocent souls will haunt you FOREVER AND EVER
