Wow. Fabulous singing. Maybe one of my favorite renditions. I love the way he goes to the B-flats...just open-throated and fully supported all the way up...not using an 'h' to hoist the pitch to the top...brilliant, exciting!

Oh, Shicoff1, everyone's deserted Neil Shicoff in favor of the "world's greatest tenor," a pushed-up baritone name Kaufmann. So THIS can be forgotten? No by me. Gorgeous intonation,a command of the language, a fully realized sense of the poete maudit.

+Ken Wolman - I agree that this is gorgeous singing, but why denigrate Kaufman to laud Shicoff ? Kaufman IS A DRAMATIC tenor. Listen to Kaufman 1993 on you tube when he was kyric too and get back to me.
