What Baldeep has done is an act of profound assimilation of a great heritage in all lts multiplicity Nobody can apprehend the pure flow of divine energy which has literally made him the medium of its embodiment A miracle of our times!!!,
Respected Reviewer Singh Sahib, Sat Kartār! Thank you for your kind words and for ‘reviewing’ the recording!
The quote (16:59 minute to 17:35 minute) you refer to: “This is the first time, some of the instruments in decades, were seen on stage thanks to Baba Sucha Singh. My work was already in progress, but then, because he organised a major festival in 1991 called Adutti Gurmat Sangeet Sammelan. You can see, the second person on the right is Sardar Beant Singh, playing one of my ancestral Taus(es). Then there is, of course, Piara Singh Padam with a dilrubā, Gursharan Singh with a Sarinda-something that he made, and Bhai Chatar Singh (extreme left) with his dilruba.” Is there an image from the Bhaini Sahib world of a tāūs with the original configuration, a sarindā, and dilrubā in a single photo? With regards to the old images of a dilrubā-one, you may refer to the 1935 image of influencer extraordinaire, Bhai Sahib Jwala Singh of Ṭhaṭṭā Ṭibbā, with a 9-year-old Bhai Avtar Singh playing the tāūs and Bhai Gurcharan Singh on the joṛī. Dilrubā and esrāj are derived instruments; these don’t count as heritage. As I mentioned with regards to various other instruments such as sarōd, sitar, etc., dilrubā and esrāj aren’t from gurū-times and are only now amassing good and/or ordinary histories. I am yet to see an earlier image from the “mainstream Sikh world” with all these instruments in a single image except the one curated by Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha for his MahānKōś. I am here to take back credits that were due to not only to my elders but also to very many others who have not received them. Their names were all washed away using petty egotistic waters. Even that of Baba Bir Singh! Tarangaṛ Sahib. Bhai Harnam Singh of Ṭhaṭṭā Ṭibbā. Bhai Batan Singh of Mehlī. Bhai Dal Singh of Lasāṛā. In life, so many of these elders safekept my honour; at their feet, in their laps, and nurtured it in their benevolent embraces. In their death, I am their safekeeper. The so-called various Panths including the Panth started by SGPC should have honoured hundreds of GurSikh and Rabābī maestros when they were living. But then idiots weren’t ever ornate with wisdom or honour. Not to even mention the nonsense that used to emanate from Bhaini Sahib: that my granduncles had copied the music of Baba Jagjit Singh and Baba Bir Singh and notated it in the two volumes. Baba Pratap Singh Sāhib used to seat my great-uncle Bhai Sāhib Jwala Singh of Ṭhaṭṭā Ṭibbā on his pillow side. The mutual respect amongst both was extraordinary; I have been told by multiple witnesses. The honour and respect that my granduncles extended to Baba Jagjit Singh was only an extension of a few generations old exchange between the two families. If my granduncles would have taken a single composition, they would have noted it down with due acknowledgement, as they have with compositions that were taught by their elder Gurūbhāis. I am yet to see the credit due to me either. But then, as most people are murdā-prast, I guess after I am dead I will have a billion friends. I am the bearer of Bhai Sādhāraṇ’s legacy:100 years isn’t my entire concern. Yes, there has suddenly been space for quacks and the half-educated to thrive and manspread. My focus of study has been from Bhagat Srī Jaidev to Sahib Srī Guru Gobind Singh to the GurKhalsa period before colonisation had its collateral impact. I am hoping you will take back some of your assertions made without fully understanding the comments I made. May the Satigurpurkh Parmēsarā bless! Bhai Baldeep Singh __________ This is a response to @thereviewer1839 who wrote the following comment addressed to me on December 7, 2023, which is placed here on record: "You have been extremely disingenuous at 17 mins when showcasing a photo and claiming it is the first time these instruments are being showcased on stage by the efforts of respected Baba Sucha SIngh Ji. You for sure will be aware that these instruments were being used in Bhaini Sahib by Namdharis on stage every day from at least the 70s. In fact, there are pictures of Baba Partap Singh ji with Dilruba on stage as early as the 40s. Considering your close affiliation and friendship with Baba Bir Singh Ji Namdhari, you would have no doubt seen the pictures online with him and Baba Jagjit Singh Ji on stage with these instruments from the 60s. It makes very little sense to post up a picture from 1991 claiming its the first time for these instruments being showcased on stage. Credit should be given, where credit is due. In reviving history, we should be careful not to distort the very obvious facts. God knows we have had enough of that in the last 100 years. In this instance, you seem to have done exactly that, you were lambasting Jasdeep Singh and Kirit Singh for in your rebuttal a few years ago. In saying that, I am otherwise a fan of what you do. A very big thank you to you for all your life's work. "
Phenomenal tale Dear Bhai Sahib! Sad and unfortunate decline and utter incompetency of elites which contributed to the all-frontal decline of the once great Indic civilisation, epitomised the most highly in the illustrious traditions of Sikhs. No one from this sanctified priestly class of bureaucrats, sitting at the pedestals of this civilisational leviathan, is tendered to attend to the health of our heritage, our very existence?

My point is that he is not saying that the photo depicts the first time ever that the instruments were being played on stage, rather it was the first time in decades.

The sincerity and authenticity of BSB Baldeep Singh is unquestionably a phenomena
Now new prime minister vahe guru
That’s where us, Sikhs failed ourselves. Current system is inherently erroneous.
Sad decline of our treasure

He says "the first time in decades", no the "first time".
