Thanks for letting me know. I was always under the impression that Maple Mountain was long considered the highest point. Until more modern surveying proved it to be Ishpatina Ridge.

Thanks for sharing. I just completed the trip to Maple Mountain using the route from Mowat Landing through Lady Evelyn Lake, and yes, sometimes those winds can be a pain. But the winds in the narrow channel from Suckergut Lake to Tupper Lake were worse. Some impressive beaver engineering on that route to Tupper Lake. And that final pitch to the summit is indeed "sketchy", even with that ladder. I have been inspired by your channel to "get out there for some adventures of your own". Keep up the great work! You can see my footage of Maple Mountain at this link th-cam.com/video/X0vFOAAtTL4/w-d-xo.html

Thanks I’m glad you liked it!
I agree and I’m pretty sure I mentioned the winds being surprisingly bad through sucker gut and Tupper in the full trip video I posted recently. I couldn’t understand how the winds were just as bad on those tiny lakes lol. I’m glad I could inspire you. That’s a big part of why I started the channel, just to get people out there as well as give them the info to do it.
I’ll be sure to check your video out!
      Thanks again!

@@ryansroutes1805I just viewed your longer video with Maple Mountain. Yes, you did mention the winds in the narrow chain of lakes leading to Tupper. Maybe the terrain acts like a wind tunnel.
