It's funny because when my friend went up first, I asked if he thought it was safe for both of us, he said yes. If I was up first, no way in hell would I have said yes lol structure is definitely comprised, I just made sure I was standing on the metal frame
@@robsenz. ha that’s funny I may have done the same but I def wasn’t leading that charge. I made it up b4 everyone in my group did which to me was a feat. At least you can officially say you hit the highest point which is pretty cool. There was a slick dam about a quarter of the way up a few of us slipped it was funny to watch. Cheers man

Thinking of doing this in a couple of weeks. I heard that the roads are bad at this time of year? I noticed you went during May as well and was wondering if an AWD SUV would be able to safely drive them? Also wondering about water levels and overall wetness. Thanks
I initially went in April and it was brutal, still tons of ice/snow and lots of mud. I missed a turn and drove down an ATV trail and I actually ended up doing some significant damage to my Sorento at the time. But I fixed that and went back the next month, it was much better, not issues that time. The bugs will be insane just to let you know, we had nothing, but it was still cool that time. Water level should be fine, the first river you have to cross after parking is the worse, only one small water crossing after that, There is a bit of a wetland you have to walk through, that get's through the shoes quickly, but it's all very doable

@@robsenz. Thanks for you response. Might wear a bug net.
That was awesome to watch. I got a couple questions. What route did you take to get there with car? Would you be able to confidently drive all the way to the fallen bridge with a sedan or do you need more clearance?
@@RealSlavGod in the spring definitely. I made the mistake of trying it in April and messed up my suv a bit. This video was about a month after that in early May
@@robsenz. yeah I am planning this trip in July, really excited, the trail should be dryer. But I guess I just want to be as safe as I can be. The forest is a wild place you know? Haha
In the spring yes, but should be ok now. I brought bikes my first attempt and had a rock bounce of my bike frame and shatter my back window last year, also had to put 3k into my car cause I ended up on an ATV trail by mistake at one point. Lol just stay on the road and you're good.
looks like the trail is self explanatory to follow most of the time? or little sketchy at times? is it possible to drive a car on that road to trail head? thanks
Hello Rob! Amazing video for making the hike!
Have you been since this video
Hello Countrymen. What a pure Canadian video. Well done fellas. What a beautiful land we live in and hold. Glad that We are Canadians.
Thanks for making this Rob. I had a big grin while reliving this.
As happy as my body felt to be done, I can't help but want to go back again..
Informative video really appreciated it 🙌
I thought about going to the top of the tower but nope lol what a view thanks for sharing

how was the bugs and insect situation on that trail?
Was early in the season so we had no bugs. I hear they are terrible though

Once it's graded which it would be by now you should be able to make it. Just a few spots you'll have to go slower I imagine
@@robsenz. Oh right on! So there shouldn't be a problem with bottoming out or washed out roads right/mud pits of doom right?

What time of year did you guys go? As well inquiring about bear precautions you took?
I think this was early May. We didn't take any real bear precautions outside of keeping our packs up high during the night.

I'd say yes, but it would be a very long day

@@WorldT you would have to cross the river, don't think a car would make it at all. Trail was pretty well marked
That looks super cool! Did you guys stay two nights, three days?
Just one night, it could be done in a very long day though, probably just be less fun though
How long ago did you do the hike?
