My all-time favorite situation comedy of the '70's! A burst-out laughing classic! Bea Arthur was head & shoulder's above the comedic crowd, bless her heart. w/❤ & 👏
In the episode where they meet him, try and count how many times they said “John Wayne”. We get it. He’s John Wayne. (And we won’t even mention that his real name is Marion Morrison.)

No matter what character Bea Arthur played ie: Dorothy, Maude, Amanda..all 3 characters had the same sarcastic/funny humor. I loved it
She was truly a unique and gifted woman.
Bea was really on another level with her comedy. She demolished that celery!
Love Maude. I have the entire series on DVD and I watch episodes pretty much every day. Maude is a guaranteed mood-lifter.
I love the fact that she can keep a straight face during the most funniest things like the flying saucer
One of my favorite episodes
She was amazing!

Maude throttling Mrs. Naugatuck 😂😂😂😂
I heard somewhere that even though "All in the Family" was his most famous show, out of all the shows he created, Norman Lear's favorite was "Maude".
I wouldn't find that surprising, he often talked about how Bea was one of his favorite comedians.
She and Norman were close friends.
Bea Arthur is absolutely hilarious. I think I watched her too much because I find myself doing her pauses 😂
🤣🤣 me too! I only wish someone followed me around with a laugh track recording.

Bea Arthur was a comedic genius. Until I discovered her, I didn't think any women had comedic talent.
