- Visit www.themobilityguy.com to get in touch with me! In today's vlog I'm going out to fix a ThyssenKrupp stairlift which wasn't working for the customer. After a simple wiring issue and straightening the seat orientation due to it leaning downstairs, the lift was up and running in no time.
The second stairlift however, not that easy. Only had new batteries a few days ago and there was a strange issue where the stairlift wouldn't go at all, not even a fault code would display.
After a good bit of diagnosis, I got to the end of it and the stairlift was back running again.

Thank you for doing this. I think you would get more subscribers if you got a little more detailed in how to fix the problems that you find. I didn't realize you replaced the board on the last job(the minivator 950) until I noticed the old board laying on the floor. There is nothing on how to fix these stairlifts on the web, it's just you, you're the man!. More detail on how to diagnose and then how to fix would be great, if time permits. Thanks for posting.

I have a charging problem on my 950. The board has been changed and still flashing error code 2. What do you think it is. It also has a new pick up brush.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Check the copper strip where it charges on, check to see if it charges at certain spots too, as could be the copper strip
Other than that , check continuity from brush to the board
Also, there’s a fuse in the motor area in that bundle of wires , just in case I’d check that too, prob worth doing before any of above
Also are you getting the supply when touching the strip (positive) and the track (negative) with a multimeter
Getting all those and still no charge. Do both armrests have to be in the up position?
