Him being convicted for nearly killing a kid revently would say that smile is actually on point.
I remember watching him on Outrageous Fortune, a NZ comedy/drama about a criminal family from West Auckland trying to go straight. It aired from 2005 to 2009, and became a cult hit, it even spawned a prequel series called Westside, which aired from 2015 to 2019. He's come a long way.
And he was brilliant back then.

For once, it's entirely appropriate ! Hardly a light irreverence or a footnote. That's what The Boys is all about, not just Trump, the whole mentality and business that got people begging to be turkeys for festivities. It is a hit abroad because we don't share the same education. Soldier Boy is no news to us, that's how we see you.. Homelander is the proud descendant of that propaganda
I didn't know that he was on Xena I guess all the New Zealand actors was on that show. Karl Urban was my favorite as Xena greatest enemy Roman emperor Julies Cesar.

By law all Kiwis (New Zealanders) of a certain age have to have acted in either Xena or a Lord of the Rings movie (......or preferebly both).

I don't like many shows (I rarely watch the View for instance) but, as a comic aficionado, this show puts a smile on my face.
It is funny because while I personally think the original comic is trash.
But the heart of the writing and the great actors like Antony Starr, make the show a diabolical pleasure, to quote Billy Butcher. 😀
