Ya i dont find them "smooth" as others describe. They are better than the test versions i tried so thats good but they arent smoother than ptfe like ghostglide cyclones. Those are still my favorite. But lowest dynamic friction definitely goes to Plastix, so thats a plus for some
@@swizzlegod mainly only play The Finals ATM, but ya you could def use them in Val/CS. There may be a little adjustment period depending on what you currently use.
Tried for two days, they produce a MUCH louder sound, and have a little scratchy feeling on my pulsar superglide mousepad, as well as I couldn't feel any kind of improvement compared to PTFE, on contrary, those introduced A LOT of static friction which I hate and why I have the glass mousepad in the first place. Same with the obsidians though, so now I am back to the PTFE as tiger ice v2 (previously used corepads), and will be trying out ghostslide cyclones dots and jades.
@@ACE112ACE112 they do, but the TJ Exclusive skates introduce more static friction, compared to PTFE. You need to consider both the variables, not just one.
ive noticed that the superglide just interacts with skates kinda weird, I currently have jades on my gpx, and its very odd as it feels like there is a very short window where these skates feel like they should on the pad, took about a day of playing on the pad with the inital coating unbearably weird and slow, then it started to feel very fast, as I wanted it too, then after about a week and a half of playing it got slow again. Very frustrating, but its likely this speed issue is coming from using dot skates on my gpx which it seems has a very uneven and wobbly base, with even three weeks of wear not leveling it.
I'm not spending more money on mouse skates for glass pads... I tried 4 different skates on glass and they all had their problems. Unless you want the lowest friction possible (which is PTFE) you can just experiment with any material and stick it under your mouse. I tried a buch of different plastics and textiles as skates and the material I like the most is felt from synthetic fibers. Unlike cloth it has no weave pattern so it has the exact same friction in every direction, it doesn't get muddy because the synthetic fibers don't absorb moisture or oils, It's completely unaffected by dust on the pad, the glide is smooth, silent and a bit more controlled than ptfe but still fast and the best thing is that the skates are soft so resetting the mouse feels dampened like on a cloth pad. These are my favourite skates now and they did not cost me any money.
Completely agree. I got plastix skates along with my Cerapad Kin, but I can honestly say I prefer the experience of obsidian dots over these. These feel faster in both dynamic and static friction, and while I enjoy the little bit of freedom, I feel the cerapad hit that perfect balance of stopping power and speed with obsidian dots and other PTFE options.

the trick for most smoothness on a glass pad is 0.8mm extra thick ptfe skates. codepadz sells extra thick, and pulsar sells extra thick for their mice.
Mine is same to you. I watch others describes as smoothest on glass so I have very high expectation for this but it is just so scratchy and it is not whatsoever suits the word 'smooth'
How do you feel about the lamzu sapphire skates? I know theyre not universal dots. Theyre usable on other mice tho, I promise. I used the mini's on the HSK pro

The downward force not impacting PlastiX is 100% it's biggest feature on top of durability. Hence the reason for people whom use hardpads unintentionally desire vs their PTFE experience when using soft pads. But hardened PTFE + PlastiX is relatively new and everyone is very used to PTFE as the standard. So we could say PlastiX Dots is the hardpad version of mousepads. @@thinkforyourself5672 Weird take. You can‘t just expect one mouse to be your endgame for all different kinds of games. And when I have to switch to a faster sensitivity, the mouse shape and grip might not be suitable anymore etc. As always, it depends.
Hey, can someone recommend some good wireless mice for claw grip ? Preferably with less complicated software/no software at all.
My only "concern" with the longevity is that nobody has actually had enough time to test that claim. Lots of people remember the infinite durability claims of glass skates that didn't hold up. I also notice some white shavings appear on my plastix after using them for a while, not concerned they're slowing down but it seems like that is the surface wearing down slowly
@@boardzy I can see the concern for it. Only time will really tell. I got mine around release date, and it’s definitely been put to use. I do notice the skates wearing down slightly but not nearly as much as normal PTFE as it was advertised, which is good.
These are way more durable than ptfe , dude. They make slower pads like the cerapad kin, and other slower hard pads I own open up and feel much quicker. Ptfe feels like mud when making micro adjustments. They can play fast, slow, or medium speed based on the pad you are using. You feel the texture of the Padmsith empress . Just depends on the pad.
