The Western Riders can suck on it as far as I'm concerned with their "veto" that prevented Ottawa from getting their rightful name of Rough Riders back. Maybe the league and TSN have to kiss Saskatchewan's posterior but I sure as hell don't! Before you ask (or postulate), no, I am not, nor have I ever been, an Eastern Riders fan. I am a born-and-bred Als fan (which meant that the CFL didn't exist to me from the time that the Concordes/Als folded and the Stallions/Als were born) but I appreciate the history and tradition of other teams. I always used to like the Roughriders because I liked how a relatively small community in Saskatchewan could support a CFL team. Then when they did that veto with the lamest excuses that I ever heard, I decided that I would hate Saskatchewan until the day I die. It's cool though, because they're the biggest bunch of losers in CFL history. The Alouettes have twice as many Grey Cups and they didn't even exist for about 20 years or so. The excuse that the Western Riders were "concerned" about confusion when it comes to merchandising with two teams having nearly identical names falls flat. The reason for this is that their colour schemes are polar opposites of each other, like literally. The Western Riders are green and white while the Eastern Riders are red and black. Let us remember that red is the opposite of green and black is the opposite of white. The two teams could not have looked more different so Saskatchewan can take that sorry excuse and shove it up their holes (the ones they don't sing out of). Every time I hear that ridiculous REDBLACKS name (even worse is the ALL-CAPS SPELLING), I have a visceral reaction to it. I just can't bring myself to call them the REDBLACKS so I call them the Eastern Riders.
