its funny how many 'standards' i heard first by THIS band. when i later heard the originals, they sounded so slow & corny ! i also learned to appreciate instruments and listen closely to them, marimba, xylophone, drums, guitar, not just the horns. they all had jazz chops as well, and herb, a good man promoting music for kids in schools.
