To the people who think I got this all in a day, or I got "lucky". I started my TH-cam career 7 years ago, and in these 7 years I made over 1000 videos. 977 videos on my first channel, and 49 videos on this channel to be exact. I slowly started to get some trust, viewers, and sponsorships. I made videos while working full time for years because it was my dream to become a full time TH-camr. I would work until 11pm, come home at midnight, film until the morning, and wake up again to edit and go to work. I repeated that for yearssss and, finally, I got the opportunity to get all the markers. I want to say please keep dreaming, because it will come true!!!
Besides it was my birthday and I wanted to splurge myself with something nice :)!! I don't need a Louis Vuitton bag, I just want markers.
PS: My brother pays it for me only at the moment because I want to keep my reaction fresh for the camera, but I always pay him back and more for holding the camera for me.

Nobody should have to "earn the right" to buy what they love to buy. If you have the money that you worked hard to earn, nobody has the right to say that you're just "lucky". It wasn't luck. It was hard work and dedication to get that amount of money. You spend that hard earned money however you want!

Sadly, they don't trust us here in America because at all the craft stores near me, they lock up all the expensive art supplies (Copic, Prismacolor, etc.)

Such an amazing thing to do, I can spend hours in there looking for materials for crafting and stationery, Markers or stickers now i'm here watching buying in the store and they look like they have everything you could possibly want. can I get this all in one bag lol cause I Love to see videos like these anyway i really enjoyed watching in full Thank you for the tour.
I enjoyed that experience vicariously through you. The shopping trip, emptying out all the bags on your desk, feeling all the markers in your hands, organizing them, then using them. So exciting. That’s a great dream. So happy it came true for you.

At Blick here in the US that total just for 358 markers, not including tax or shipping if you don't have a store close would be almost $2100. At that's at Blick's $5.85 per marker. Full retail price would be $2860. It's worth the turnaround flight to Japan just to fly and bring them all home.
I'm a mostly digital artist but seeing her treat herself to all those markers makes me so happy. ^^

I think the most popular pencil brand in Europe might be Caran d'Ache, it was a school requirement to have a set of Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils when I was in art school.

Ohuhu markers are great for beginners and a fantastic alternate to Copics. They also cost way less too.

PSA for “witty” people: She’s been here for years and worked hard to earn her money and save it to reinvest in her work and business. She needs good tools to make good art. Like a professional chef needs good ingredients and tools to make good food.

Just a small note : you don’t always need very expensive equipment for art! Even my cheap markers make my art beautiful also :D
But if you have enough money- and you’re a career artist, go for the equipment you like!

I only have 14 ;-;
I was cleaning out the garage and I happen to find some of my old Prisma Markers. I haven't touched those in 20 years. My 8 year old daughter loves to draw and paint. So I told her to test all those markers. I would assumed all of them would run out of color by now. I guess wrong. Majority of them still works. I told her these are very expensive markers and not what you find in a regular store. Take care of it. She already used my Prisma color pencil, water color pencil, conte, and pastel set. All of them are in pristine shape.
Also, I teach her about shading using lines and dots while giving her examples in comic books, animation and etc. I gave her a history lesson of 1 of the Old Master in the 1800s using Pointilism. I think the next thing I will teach her is drawing the human anatomy.

It's not that expensive actually if you're using them professionally. And it's still fairly affordable if you're really into your art hobby and have years of experience already.

I did this when I went to the LOFT in Shibuya, Japan, except I only got the remainder of my collection which was 430 ish dollars (and no tax!). Totally worth it, these markers are the best!
That shopping trip would be so much fun! I wish we had a Copic store here. I just bought myself $300 worth last night to bulk up my collection; bringing me from 102 markers to around 160 markers. Maybe one day I'll have them all 😁

I know a lot of people are going to say this, but I also highly recommend Prismacolor pencils. There literally is a 150 pencil set for only $90 USD on Amazon and for that price plus the quality, it is soo worth it! I hope you do give it a try in a future video! I really love your art. ❤

I have six! They're nearly $10 a marker in some places here. The cheapest I've found them was just over $6 each! I get the other brands of alcohol markers in place of Copics. It's kind of sad though. My few copics are leagues better than any of my other markers and knowing what I'm missing out on, I feel, is almost worse than just not having them at all :,,(

To avoid purchasing single markers (I get so easily disoriented and lost with all the letters and numbers!) I purchased the Copic Sketch 72 marker sets. They come in set A, B, C, D, and E. All 358 colors. :)
Polychromes Faber Castell are my favourite brand ever of pencil colors! If you ever have a chance to get them, do. They are beautiful, pigmented and very durable.
Watching you picking out the copic markers reminds me so much of Ollivander picking out the wands for young Harry. Plus there are so many markers available just like the wands at the store. Always love that scene~

I’m also just starting to grow my copic ciao collection ( I now have 23 plus the blender) and it’s so addicting but also so fun when you see the final results! Seeing them makes me think about all the money I spent and I kinda feel bad but I’m so happy making art ☺️

Omg the manga kit 😭😭 seeing all the stuff inside made me think of this old how to draw manga book I had as a kid bc it listed specific supplies to write manga in the classic format but then I saw the little mascot character on the folder/envelope so I figure it must have been made by the same people that made the book because that mascot was the star of the book! Anyways I hope I can find that manga set eventually bc I still rly want to try drawing manga with the traditional tools, just for fun haha
Wow the selection you have is amazing. Where I live they don’t typically sell individual markers, and when they do the selection is limited. People obviously kept stealing them since they locked them all up too. :(
I'm not an artist but I am a "collector" I like collecting things and having a lot of one thing, this video was so much fun!! Must be fun looking and using all the pretty colours! I try to only collect useful things, even though im no artist I have around 110 markers because I like colours and just using Them in my bad little drawings 🤣🤣
Edit: the market came in a set of 50 and 60 for €12 my mom got them for me because she knows I am a fan of anything in the realm of stationary 😊

fibercastle for coloured pencils is a great option cuz their lead is high quality and the wood is more durable

I definitely think art stores have that "art smell." It's like fresh wood and...something else that I cannot pinpoint. lol Anyway, what a satisfying video. I would love to see how you organize those markets (if you organize them, so artists work best in creative chaos. I am disorganized when it comes to most of my life, yet when it comes to art supplies, I am totally organized. LOL. I just find it satisfying to see colors all lined up LOL).
