when I first got this concert dvd I cried several times, especially at the end outro, For true power metal fans, having not had anything really good in decades (As far as a new group), LOVEBITES can just make you cry like a baby with joy at hearing such metal perfection done with such soul and class.
The transitions in this song are epic, the pace changes and the melody in the chorus reminds me elements of musical theatre. And outro, outro is heart-tugging. Ladies know how to say goodbye to the audience.
unfortunately this song was not played on Five Of A Kind (Zepp Tokyo). Honestly, I really wanted this song to be played on Five Of A Kind because Asami's voice skills improved in Five Of A Kind and Awake Again live stream.. I mean she's getting better and better :)
This surprising. Cause not many reactor make reaction to this song from Lovebites. Thank you so much bro. I'm always enjoyed with you great reaction and analysis to Lovebites. And now you little singing too when you try to focus on lyrics. Next song, I thing you still have many request song of Lovebites. So I will waiting and enjoyed. Big thanks
They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan for awhile). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music. They have only been around for about 4 years. Asami: Lead Vocals, piano Miho: Bass, backing vocals, composer Haruna: Drums Midori: Guitars Miyako (30): Guitars, Piano, main composer Miyako is the only one whose age is published, but they are all around 30. Haruna is the oldest, according to one site, though she looks the youngest.
One of my fav songs by them. Sin in the Sky is the atomic blast, part of a trilogy as many mentioned. One of the tough to notice influences?, this was written as a challenge to utilize a Rachmaninov theme/riff. It and Above the Black Sea used the same riff. So good, they both made the 4song EP, back to back (Battle Against Damnation). I love how the mood changes in lyrics, from despair to hope, are so well represented by the music... Cheers
LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome
"I think I just saw Midori smile" I bet you were referring to Miyako, since Midori smiles all the time. Miyako is the one playing the Dean, Midori is playing the purple ESP. Miyako does take a break from her intense focus sometimes :)
@@smittycal Haha, Don't worry, Marvin. There are many female names start with "Mi-" in Japan, like Midori, Miyako, Misa, Miku, Mina, Miho, Michiko, Misako, Misato, and so on. Even for Japanese, tend to mix up those girl's name :)
it amazes me that years after the terrible devastation caused by the two atomic bombs we dropped on Japan these girls can turn that tragedy into such a powerful and beautiful song
Not sure how they managed it but somehow out of one of the worlds most horrific events, if not the most as it is man made, the Lovebites ladies, compose a song of hope.
Great reaction. I have to add that this is such a romantic song getting through the cataclysm of Hiroshima by re-uniting of two loves. Asami loves her Miyako. They make such a great writing team. Miho and Mao they other great writing time. This one was Asami Lyric and Mao Music. Both Asami and Miho are such great lyricists. They write better lyrics than some people who speak English as first language. The slide on the guitar is classic Ritchie Blackmore in harmonic minor. See Rainbow Stargazer as an example. I love the choral sound they get in some parts of their songs. Midori smiles quite a bit. Miyako usually doesn't smile until she is off stage. Then she is smiling and so sweet. That high note by Asami was so I that only my Dog heard it. That's a high note

This is the third song in a trilogy about the US atomic bombing of Japan. It starts with The Apocalypse and continues with Above The Black Sea.
The bombs are the "Sin in the sky".
Yep, That's the "Gray world" of ash...

LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics:
Rupture of the Heavens
Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree
Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity
Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity

Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history

Ahhhhhhh yep that’s right hah.
Dang it... that’s the challenge of seeing so many groups, names get shuffled hah.
Thanks for the clarification ha.

@Aratha Sena That's so true!
@@smittycal No worries, I can't imagine trying to remember the names of band members from every reaction, I'm pretty bad with names as it is haha!
@@DennisKent same here hah. I’ve always had an issue with names
Thanx for this one
Hey again 👋🏾. Just here to remind you about the reaction to Moonbyul’s song “Selfish”. Please react to it ☺️
Just a heads up, Lovebites is power metal. In the Helloween, Angra and Dragonforce line.
Yeah, basic mike technique goes a long way.
