awesome! man I love it. First ive heard this one. kind of similar to skyward fire track but different. Man its great. Drawing a lot of inspiration from these type of tracks and they are a major influence for a game im designing. So deep.
I like this. The "UT99" Skyward Fire music is a favorite. Helios? What was the date of the file's creation? Not likely to get an answer since Helios has not posted since 3 years ago. To the readers. I've never heard this version until now. I compared it to the so called "original" Skyward and my memory of when I played UT99. At the start I noticed right away this version has more notes in the cords. More bass. It's more full in the note spectrum. Then at time 2:50 I start to hear these beep boop notes. ... That's new to me. Everything else sounds familiar. I think what I'm hearing was created after the UT99 game release. It's too good to not have been in the game.
I downloaded it back in 2016 but it was from a very old TH-cam channel I had (and deleted), this remix is older than that. I sent a mail in 2021 to Rom Di Prisco since there's some similar elements to his remix (those beep boop notes) but he told me it was probably a fan remix. It's not one of his earlier version or anything else.
No this version was created after Rom Di Prisco's remix. I asked him and he told me that he doesn't recognise this version and it was probably a fan remix
@@helios6992 Is it a module? If so, where did you get it from? I'd really love to hear it directly from the original file I still prefer the original one more but... damn, that chord in the choir feels heavenly
This is fascinating. I have restored the whole soundtrack including Skyward Fire and I am pretty sure I didn't hear this version or patterns of it in any of the files both release and beta. I believe that this is a unofficial remix since many of the samples are nowhere utilized by Michiel Van Den Bos and he tends to use his own specific sample pack for these old tracker compositions. It would be great if you could send me the UMX or tracker file if you still have it. I might be able to find out more with the help of it and I also have contact to Michiel van den Bos. I might even add this in higher quality to my soundtrack release, which you can btw find here: th-cam.com/video/FStHh0L0NVM/w-d-xo.html
Hey ! I am the guy who sent you the mail about this Skyward Fire version :) I only have a mp3 file unfortunately but I'll send it to you ! The only thing I remember is that a very old friend named 1Xtreme used it for a mix he did for his UT3 CTF map "Maelstrom" (which is a beautiful map). He mixed the UT3 Skyward Fire version with this one to make one track. I really don't know if it is a remix or not, I never found it on internet and it sounds like a beta version because there's some sound that has been used in the UT3 version www.mapraider.com/maps/unreal-tournament-3/capture-the-flag/5064/CTF-Maelstrom
@@helios6992 Hm. If it uses some UT3 sounds, it might be a UT3 remix or very early version from Rom Di Prisco but I tend towards a fan made remix combining the old and new sound of the tracks. Thanks for the MP3, I could definitely find out more with the original tracker file, if it was even made with tracker software. Might be more modern software composition alltogether. I think I remember that Maelstrom map from some older UT3 sessions. Wow, what a blast from the past. Really cool map indeed.
@@PorcusSoundtrackCorner Yeah possible, I didn't thought that way ... Like an even more Skyward Fire version of Skyward Fire

Such such such an incredible remix. Takes one out of their body into the void. This aesthetic of UT99 endures to present day.
I don't know if it's a remix, I would say more like an unmastered/non-finished version

Dayum, blowing my mind that this song was already there, before UT2003 and UT2004, 3 games before UT3!!!!
Obviously before UT2003. It's a song from UT99. UT99 was the most fun to play of all UT.
@@tigerzero5216 Yea that's what I'm saying
So Rom Di Prisco took this version as a motive when remixing Skyward Fire in UT3... Interesting

This song wasn't unused.
I haven't heard this "particular" version of it before.
Where was this song used ?
Sounds like CTF-LavaGiant
It sounds like a "beta" version of the original Skyward Fire, seems like, as it isn't polished much.
It's different. I just listened to the original and then this. This one sounds, deeper in tone then the original. Very neat
