The show is amazing that when characters get killed it's not done with fanfare or in some great moment. One moment they're there, next they're not. Many reactors miss Gorn going down at the start of the firefight. Cinta has the easist escape of just walking out. My favorite arc. And I was happy that Cassian took out Skeen. Poor Nemick... Gave his all for the rebellion. don't worry about the scene with Luthen, it's well earned and he let out a great sigh of relief. Man I got nervous as you did when someone asked about Aldahani too. That sort of line is something you hear when the cops come for the bad guy.
The thumbnail. . . bit of a grim joke there. If the shootout in episode 3 didn't prove that this show does action scenes well, then this episode highlights it perfectly. Love how this shows the shades of grey in both the Empire and the Rebellion. The new engineer just trying to save the kid's life during the robbery, versus Cinta potentially executing the hostages, including the innocent kid, in cold blood (do you think she did it?) The Eye itself is an absolutely amazing spectacle of an event and the chase is a visual masterpiece. Iconic cinematography, realistic casualties, competent Imperials, and two episodes of buildup leading into one of the most thrilling action pieces in Star Wars. And this isn't even the best this show has to offer yet. Enjoy the aftermath of this episode for the rest of the series.
I figure this will lead to some pretty negative outcomes for a lot of people. Can’t wait to see how. Yea, for thumbnail titles I go with my gut and sometimes it is a little grim. This one was going to have something to do with the kids ideals, and this was my first thought. Pretty tragic outcome.
I liked that the Imperials were a realistic mix of competence and incompetence; that is, they did the things they were trained to do extremely well, but they also showed all the arrogance, complacency, and high-handedness that you'd expect from products of the Imperial system at a quiet, peaceful post where nothing serious ever happens.
And here we are! From this episode and onward, there are pretty much no flaws for me whatsoever. This show displays how to do an infiltration perfectly. Large and thorough setup, careful planning to show the audience, and the protagonists suffering losses.
This is tied with 7 as my 3rd favorite episode. Best shootout in Star Wars, shots go where they need to shoot, people move as you would expect them to, it all makes sense. Not like Kenobi and other Disney shows where shots go to places no one ever was. The shot of the pilots getting into the Tie...beautiful. I like to think that without Skeen's betrayal Cass might have stay a little longer with the rebels, the betrayal only cemented his ideas of only trusting himself.
What an episode, so intense, perfect in so many ways, those that Star Wars haven't been able to display for years. The boy still doing his duty after being crushed reminded me of the Clones, their dedication to duty. Great reaction to this great episode!
The scene with Mon Mothma talking about the Ghorman people ties into Star Wars Rebels. In case you don't remember from the star wars rebels season 3 episode "Secret Cargo' Caro" The main reason Mon Mothma leaves the Imperial Senate is because of the massacre of a group of peaceful Ghorman protesters in 2 BBY, by the Empire. Her exact words are: "I name the Emperor himself for ordering the brutal attacks on the people of Ghorman. Their peaceful world is one of countless systems helpless under his oppressive rule. This massacre is proof that our self-appointed Emperor is little more than a lying. executioner, imposing his tyranny under the pretence of security. We cannot allow this evil to stand."
Cassian still thinks about himself, but he is not such a lowlife to steal all the money. So it's not just that the other guy would shoot Cassian. But more than that... remember that guy told Cassian his reason to hate the empire... the empire had killed his brother. That ressonated with Cassian, who dreams of finding his sister. And then it was all a lie????
I think Cassian killing Skeen was also about how Cassian hated seeing his worse tendencies reflected back to him by an opportunist, and the act of killing Skeen was more of a declaration to himself that he rejects those tendencies. Unfortunately though, even after going through life and death with the Rebel group, Cassian's empathy with the Rebelion wasn't enough to override his self-preservation mindset...
I have to apologize for the final scene with Luthen. There is something about that type of exultant (maybe maniacal) laughter that I find catching. 🤣
Peak Star Wars - this show only gets better with time

It seemed too open-ended to be just some sarcastic question about Aldhani artifacts, for sure.

He makes good thumbnails lol.

I suppose that’s what I love about Rogue One as well, that the imperfect outcome feels authentic.
I'm late, but still appreciate Your reaction. Great episode. Thank You for Your reaction. Andor is so amazing show.
Great reaction to a great episode man! Easily one of the best pieces of Disney Star Wars! Keep up your reactions, really enjoying it.

Oh yes I do recall that. Thanks for the refresh!
This episode is just some seriously peak Star Wars, I love it.
Andor is life
Thanks, Topness! ☄ You've got your second climax in this episode. The next one won't come 'til Episode 10... but it's worth the wait.

I couldn’t tell if it was a lie, or that now that his brother was dead he no longer had one. I guess he was just saying it was a lie though I suppose
