Heather and Tarek buy a mid-century ranch in Tarek's hometown, hoping to flip it and make a profit. But when the contractors install the wrong tiles, they will have to make a decision that could cost them thousands of dollars.

While Heather seems nice, she really needs to lose the valley girl talk. Way too many WOWS. Cringy.
I agree, she rubs me the wrong way in general. She acts like she knows a lot but knows nothing. She hides behind Tarek.

I think she is just too vip for reno. In a 10m house am sure she will do great but this concept does not fit her vibe. She is adorable but maybe she needs a few year to get use to camera and houses under 20m$
Agree. Also her loud nasal voice gets too loud for the audience and in the end is very annoying, hits in your brains . She should quickly get a phonetic coach and learn how to impose her voice for video purposes.

Hate the shower tile in guest bathroom way to busy with the floor. First thing I would if changed.. kitchen peninsula would of looked better with waterfall edge.
I had no problem with the bathrooms, I didn't like the kitchen. Black backsplash? Who does that? Also in this house it was so dark the kitchen cabinets should have been white or very light colored.

Thank you! I see so many detractors in these comments. I did not dislike Christine so, putting that aside… Tarik and Heather work well together. She is happy and upbeat, and he is much happier than I have ever seen him before. I think her design choices are great. She’s smart enough to use a professional designer but ultimately she makes the decisions and her instincts are good. I like her.
How I wish we would stop comparing Heather to Christine. It took years for Christine to get where she is; and Heather, well, she's 'starting out' when it comes to flipping houses.

I see the quality of these house flips going down, most notably the tiles not aligned w/ lippage this will eventually cause a leak.
The bathroom :( they should have also left the bathroom as it was - there is a lot of waste in construction .
I thought so, too, especially considering they ended up going with grey anyway.

This girl is better than christina who was just so negative- I felt. It wasn’t a team anymore, just seemed like both were trying to one up the other. Was distracting from the work and not fun to watch. We see this in life, don’t want to watch bickering on my downtime…

Sorry but NO!! That kitchen is HORRIBLE! Those cabinets are a big no, especially with the marble-like countertops and the black backsplash!!! The whole thing is so ugh!!

I got sad when they replaced those old bricks. I know it Might not work with the theme of the house but there might be a valuable history to it.

NOT FOR A MID CENTURY HOUSE
The exterior is wrong color. White highlights a very ugly exterior.
Would have been much better to deemphasize details by going dark, with tinted windows.
Landscaping like a well placed pergola/trellis could have added a nice dynamic.
That one bath was way too busy. Would have painted recalls cream to match the the cream tiles to brighten without getting too expensive.
Waterfall edge on bar would have balanced the light and dark better, though do like the dark.

There are ceramic bead paint additives that reflect the heat so that would be much less of a concern. This means we can make it about what looks attractive. Look up the ceramic paint beads, they were developed by NASA.
They should keep the old bathroom marble tiles, it was nothing wrong

Very simple design. It may be boring to the viewer with no individuality, but for the people who live there, there is room for creativity.
I wish it would be broadcast on TV in Japan.
By the way, Tarek and Christina are on the air now. Their clash of opinions keeps me on the edge of my seat, and I am amazed at the cultural differences where the proximity of the washing machine and the kitchen is not a good thing. And also the unique designs that come beyond my creativity.

Heather loves everything and contributes nothing. It's sad Tarek was so verbally abusive to Christina on the show so she had to quit. I wish both of them well on their new shows and spouses. But nothing beats Tarek and Christina.

True, it feels like she is in a dollhouse. 😂 I feel like HGTV tried too hard to squeeze Tarek and Heather in some sort of format... I also think this show is way too much like Flip or Flop. I can understand that they want to do a show together because it's both of their jobs, but I think HGTV should have put more effort into creating a better mix of their styles...
I think she is a little too low-rent to fit into the millions of dollars homes.
