Your mum and her partner are rare and wonderful not many people wil look after their parents any more I used to be a carer and I saw so much neglect it was very sad trying to give them a bit of love and kindness in an hour, so happy for your nan x

I really hope the cats are OK! Poor things. Christmas apart is normal - it's about compromise and it if both people still want Christmas with their own parents then that's fair enough. My husband and I do that but when we have children we will have it together 💜 Love the tradition of opening presents later - we do the same and now do them after food, so late afternoon/early evening, which means the Christmas is dragged out longer during the day 😍 Looks like a perfect Christmas and I wish them both all the luck with the new baby xo

I just want to say spend as much time with your Nana at your mums as you can. My Nana was my mum and brought me up from being seven when my mum died. I had to take her in full time at 28 years old and I nursed her until she passed. Don’t do what I did and waste time. Make memories as that’s something I didn’t get to do with my family before they all passed. Xxx
