I would love to know what you think about a company called Imperial Candles. They are UK based and made with 100% organic soy wax... The best part about their candles is that each one contains a piece of jewellery worth between £10 and £2000! Please could you do a review of these?! They have a few Christmas candles and also do bath bombs and a range of candle sizes to suit different budgets.
Love your mood in this video. It must be because it's a Christmas themed one. Somehow you seem more casual and relaxed. In no way am I suggesting you're not normally. But you're usually ultra composed and succinct in your delivery that it's actually quite endearing to see you trip over a word, recover, and carry on. Looking forward to the gift guides!
Fab video Fleur - I'm completely bored by the comments about how much they cost - I love expensive candles - please don't ever stop talking about them :) xxx
The Body Shop needs to make a candle in Satsuma. I would buy 100 at a time. It's my fave scent from them. Also, where did you get your little tragus star stud?? I need it!!
Oh my goodness that Dyptyque one it like a bucket! That's hilarious. Such lovely recommendations Fleur! I do love the B&BW candles, but I also really love the candles from Thymes. They have such beautiful scents and packaging!
I love candles and especially holiday scents. Fleur, you should check out the Nest Fragrances Birchwood Pine candle. It's Christmas Spirit in a candle! The scent transports me to my best holiday memories.
Intrigued by the winter in russia candle. Sounds warm and delicious! Great video! I was just going to Origins after I watch this video to pick up my fav moisturizer. I'll look for that candle. Right now I'm loving the Yuletide Wreath candle by Woodwick. It smells like a pine tree and the crackling wood wick is so nice to listen to on my desk whilst I'm working.
Dear Fleur, if you like Christmas pine scents you can give a smell to the Crabtree & Evelyn Windsor Forest : I buy it every year and it's my favourite of all winter candles (and there's a version with 3 wicks ;-) !
I loved this! The NEST Holiday candle is my absolute favorite and a great one to gift. Even the box is lovely! I picked up one from Sephora VIB sale just last week along with my staple NEST Moroccan Amber that I raved about an embarrassing amount in my VIB recommendations video! I'll have to check some of these out. I'm a sucker for candles. Love them and love trying new ones. Those two NEST ones are definite staples for me though.
Great candles!! I love burning candles, especially during the holidays. I enjoy cinnamon, orange 🍊 & cloves, pumpkin 🎃 pie spice, Christmas tree 🎄 fragrance. I have some Yankee Candles and Bath and Body Works. It makes it feel warm and cozy on brisk, cold, winter ❄️ day. I'd love receiving any one of the candles you showed. You have great taste!! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁!
Bath and Body Works holiday candles beat out every single one of these. Marshmallow fireside, fresh balsam. Amazing, and they're almost always half off, so around $12 US. :)
When you are a candle connoisseur and have smelled so many, bath & body candles smell quite sickly. I do like some of them but they smell fake compared to some. They don't beat out even half that she's mentioned.
Definitely NOT Bath and Body Works! I used to have at least ten at all times until I read how toxic they were. I stopped burning them and my allergies cleared up, plus someone working on my place asked me if I burned candles in these certain spots which I did. The BBW candles had left so much soot on my ceiling. I can't believe I was breathing that. I like Diptyque but I mostly diffuse essential oils now....life changing.
18Daisy Doll I believe it! It was hard giving up my BBW candle addiction. Especially those fall and winter scents. :) Diptyque or soy candles are not that bad for me, but I'm used to essential oils now so that is usually what I'm using.
I wouldn't say that's the case for everyone. My family and I have used BBW candles for years and not had any problems. I'm sorry you had that experience and I'm glad you found a solution that alleviated your allergy problem.
whatwazthat16 They are still very toxic and and the paraffin (a petroleum by product) wax they use emit carcinogenic soot and lead emission. Some people are tolerant but it's still not healthy. There are a lot of other good options. Voluspa is a great brand or look for soy candles or coconut oil wax or beeswax are better options.
I'm all about Diptyque candles, I find they have such elegant scents, never too sweet or childish. However it takes me about 2 years to get through one as I always feel like I need to save it..! Love you Fleur xx
I'm a huge Jo Malone fan when it comes to candles, but I have to say that gigantic Diptyque candle trumps the lot of them!!!! Soooo enjoyed watching this Fleur :)
Loved this! It's not often that someone will make a solely candle-orientated video so imagine how chuffed I was when one of my favourites uploaded one! I'm currently on a candle ban because I just have so many that have built up (the whole of the top of the piano is them up by them - oops!) but I'd have to say Yankee Candle's 'Christmas Eve' is the perfect scent for those like me who like a TAD of Christmas/Wintery spice but nothing too overwhelming. Next's 'Festive Spice' is INCREDIBLE considering it's only £14 for 80 hour burn. The scent totally filled up the whole house which I wasn't at all expecting for the price. - I definitely recommend those two fellow candle lovers! xx
Traditional New England bayberry wax candles are my favorite, but they're expensive and hard-to-find these days. Yankee Candle's Holiday Bayberry is a lovely alternative. Highly recommend!
Both NEST candles from Sephora! And of course the timing is perfect for the VIB sale!! ;) Ordered both the small size for little stocking gifts but also the big ones!
Try and get your hands on either ecoya or Glasshouse candles! They are the most popular in Australia/NZ and they smell amazing! The glasshouse candles are huge and they release new limited edition Christmas scents each year. My favourite scent is the Kyoto one! It's smells super fresh with a hint of sweetness.
I'm obsessed with candles too...luckily my hubs supports my habit...but if your unsure about a scent payoff when it burns...take your finger and rub the top of the candle to warm it slightly and you'll get an idea how it will smell when lit...since the scent changes slightly when you burn candles 🙃
Thank you for the video. I went to DIPTYQUE yesterday and bought myself a Mini Candle Trio Holiday Collection. I have try all of them, the green candle are so fresh, not overwhelming.
I love Aveda's Comfort and Light candle this year. Slightly spicy and woodsy, but still that calming Aveda smell. And of course, bath and body works. I love the Leaves candle.
I love a company called on a wick and a prayer. Its a small candle company in derbyshire, owned by one of my oldest friends mum. I helped out their one christmas and i loved it. Her candles are amazing 😍
I really like the Isle of Skye Candle Company. They're handmade soy candles and very reasonably priced. I love the Juniper scent and I'm going to get Pimento and Cranberries this Christmas. They also do some spiced wintery ones.
Loved this! Voluspa has some awesome higher end candles, Christmasy scents too. And H&M Home has some nice budget options. There's a site called Candle Delirium which is insane (and super dangerous for your wallet).
Great find re-that Guerlain. My high end favorites include Cire Trudon (everyone I've tried),Byredo (esp.Tree House) and Mad et Lens. All top notch but Mad et Lens is an olfactory trip. Currently burning Annick Goutal's Noel. It is very oranges and forest, classic.
Definitely get your hands on Ecoya candles Fleur :) they're one of the most popular brands in Australia & NZ and I've bought their Pine Needles candle every year for the past 5 years! It's amazing and their packaging is beautiful too! I also grabbed the sweet fruits candle this year (although that one is more suitable for hot summer Christmases down under haha) xx
Beautiful choice of candles - would be a dream to own some of them. I buy most of mine from TK Maxx and Sainsbury's. Loving your makeup in this video Fleur!
Great video😊The White Company do a-maz-ing candles!Winter is my favourite scent for Christmas-its gorgeous and smells of cinnamon and for all other times of the year it's their Lime & Bay scent. They range from £20 too so not hugely expensive xxx
My favourite Christmas scent right now is from party lite and I think it's called balsam snow, smells so Christmas like! I don't sell party lite but I do enjoy their scents
I am really curious to know if those 100+ candles are actually any better than the cheap ones. To be honest, I'm curious to know whether the 10+ ones are better. I buy my candles mostly from Ikea (lots of scents, smell nice, don't smell like much when you burn them) and Primark. And I actually really like the Primark ones, I think their smell is intense enough for me. But I guess I'll never find out if they are actually complete crap compared to those better ones because I would hesitate to buy a candle that's more than 7€. :D
Vera Heidkamp agreed! I think you get what you pay for up until a certain price where it just becomes a luxury/designer item to purchase instead (I know if I had the money I would treat myself to a Jo Malone candle but I can imagine there are more affordable dupes with similar fragrances!)
I quite like MUJI's candles, and they are £3,50, really nice scents, and they aren't too sickly sweet either. However, I do think that some candles that are more expensive are better, and have better ingredients, than cheaper ones.
I'm most interested in what the cost is for Diptyque to make that candle and what their profit is. I know the packaging isn't cheap, but damn it's $350 in the US I have to imagine it only costs them around $50 or so to make.
I would say the main (or only) thing actually worth paying the extra for is the quality of the wax (and scents) - its easy to forget that this tangible candle you're buying is evaporating and being inhaled by your lungs, and re. the cheap ones they could well be comprised of nasty synthetic chemicals. Otherwise I would agree!
I live on the west coast so i'm not sure if you have Anthropologie in the UK. But you are probably familiar with Blue Capri Volcano candles. They are my absolute favorite scent. I have the candles, diffusers and room spray. So good! Loved your candles vlog!!!!
There's a brand of soy candles here in the states that I find at Harris Teeter and sometimes TJ Maxx called Paddywax, and their Balsam and Fir candle is soooo nice for the winter/holiday season!
the mercury moonglow candle in fireside at anthropologie is a really beautiful, warm holiday scent. I got the small one at first, but i love it so much that I've gone back and purchased the largest size. definitely appropriate for the holidays, but I plan to burn it all year round.
Ahh this video made me so excited for Christmas!! :) absolutely love burning 'wintery' candles: instant cosyness :) my favourite (budget) Christmas candles are the 'Cedarwood and Myrrh' candle from Primark and the 'Winter' candle from Dille&Kamille
Thank you so much for the beautiful video. I recommend Annick Goutal's christmas candle "Noel". It' s the purest and freshest pine scent and it is simply glorious.
The White Company Winter Candle is amazing! Although it's weird to burn a Christmas scented candle during an Australian Christmas, so it's burnt in winter only.
My favourite Christmas scented candle this year (so far, like I'm going to be able to stop buying more) is the RHS Orange and Clove. I've also picked up a Yankee Candle in Christmas Eve. Like you I find these last ages, in fact I had a Christmas Cookie which took 3 years to finish. It was lovely but so sweet I tended to burn with other scents. As a brand, I really like Voluspa candles. My favourite scent is the Santiago Huckleberry, which I seem to get away with burning year round.
One of my favorites is the Winter candle from Marks & Spencer! I picked it up while abroad two winters ago and I can't bear to burn it all the way since I can't get another easily.
Voluspa candles from Anthropologie! Adore Baltic Amber and Santiago Huckleberry year-round, but for Christmas their Spruce Cuttings and Cinnamon Ceylon & Copal are lovely. Fairly affordable, too!
Loved this video - I have developed an obsession with scented candles too. A lot of candles promise to smell like Christmas trees but I personally haven't found one that does yet - If I did I'd buy loads as I really love that smell! I love Yankee Candle but find red candles like Christmas memories (and cinnamon stick - my fave) don't burn as well as lighter coloured candles. Definitely going to investigate some of your suggestions. Love Pixie xoxo 🎄
i get the m&s mandarin/cinnamon/clove one every year i love it. also always get the yankee candle 'candy cane lane' - love the minty smell from this, it just gets me right in the christmas mood
Really hope you guys enjoy watching this, and I would LOVE your Christmas candle recommendations? xo
Fleur DeForce winter from bath & body, if you like pine 🙆🏼
I would love to know what you think about a company called Imperial Candles. They are UK based and made with 100% organic soy wax... Fleur DeForce oh no flour you have red lip stick on your teeth 😬 great vid though can't wait for vlogmas my fav time of the year😘
Fleur DeForce sorry but who would pay £210 for a candle if your not a millionaire?? X
Fleur DeForce I mean fleur
Love your mood in this video. It must be because it's a Christmas themed one. Somehow you seem more casual and relaxed. In no way am I suggesting you're not normally. i love the way you just interact, and present yourself, as if we're friends just having a casual conversation 💝💝
Waiting for the Fleur Christmas gift guides to be uploaded, I'm so excited 😍❄️️🎄
I love The White Company candles!! Xx
Grace Westland Got many white company candles in cheaper than RRP
Fab video Fleur - I'm completely bored by the comments about how much they cost - I love expensive candles - please don't ever stop talking about them :) xxx
Same!
I was looking around the boots gift section yesterday and Sanctuary do a dark rose and cassis candle that smells almost identical to Dyptique Baies! X
Bath and Body Works "Tis the Season" is so lovely! Apple, Cinnamon and Cedar... it immediately puts me in the Christmas spirit.
I always go in TK Maxx this time of year: they do an amazing range of candles, and always have a huge selection of Christmassy scents ❤️❤️
Nest candles are gorgeous, specially the Holiday scent, birchwood pine or something, you will love it.
This video speaks to my soul, candles and Christmas!
Best video ever!! I want them all!!! Blown away by the Next candles, never heard about them before and they look so festive OMG
I love candles and especially holiday scents. Fleur, you should check out the Nest Fragrances Birchwood Pine candle. It's Christmas Spirit in a candle! The scent transports me to my best holiday memories.
Sounds so lovely! Will have to check it out! xo
Ooh, that is my favourite! It's in my bedroom right now. Fleur be sure to check it out!
I bought a small votive one to keep in my room for the scent. I dare not burn it because I will not be able to get it again
You can get it as an oil Reed diffuser.
The Crabtree and Evelyn candles or room sprays in Noel or Windsor Forest are just *divine*. Windsor Forest is Christmas tree scent in a bottle!

Merry Christmas 🎄🎁!
I usually get the Yankee candles but I came across the Zara Home candles and they are very good value. My favourite one is Nordic Leather.
Bath and Body Works holiday candles beat out every single one of these. Marshmallow fireside, fresh balsam. Amazing, and they're almost always half off, so around $12 US. :)
yeah, but they are only available in the US and Fleur is a British youtuber so she shows the ones available in the country she lives in :)
When you are a candle connoisseur and have smelled so many, bath & body candles smell quite sickly. I do like some of them but they smell fake compared to some. They don't beat out even half that she's mentioned.
Carolyn LePine Not really.
They are extremely toxic. Read up on them. I posted above how my allergies completely went away when I stopped burning them.
Carolyn LePine
In b&m there is a dupe for bath and body works it's also called marshmallow fireside and its £3.99 😍
The Nest holiday candle in the red velvet packaging is the best Christmas/ tree smell. Huge sent payoff and is very luxurious for only $40.
My favourite Christmas candle has to be Winter from The White Company - it has a cinnamon, clove and orange scent and is totally divine x
love the Durance christmas candles! they have so beutiful packaging for christmas and smell divine.
Lily Flame are lovely! The blush is gorgeous. Not Xmas sent but perfect for majority of the year. They do loads of Xmas smells I MUST try!! X
disappointed you didn't mention any of the white company candles, they are amazing
Definitely NOT Bath and Body Works! I used to have at least ten at all times until I read how toxic they were. JW424 Wow, crazy. Thanks for the heads up!
JW424 some scented candles give me a bad headache, and Febreeze gave my cat asthma!!
18Daisy Doll I believe it! It was hard giving up my BBW candle addiction. Especially those fall and winter scents. :) Diptyque or soy candles are not that bad for me, but I'm used to essential oils now so that is usually what I'm using.

My favourite Christmas candle is by Crabtree and Evelyn in the scent Noel it smells like Christmas !!
I'm in love with Bath & Body Works candles, but last year I got the Nest Holiday scent and omg it was amazing. I wish I could afford more of Nest lol.
I'm all about Diptyque candles, I find they have such elegant scents, never too sweet or childish. However it takes me about 2 years to get through one as I always feel like I need to save it..! Love you Fleur xx
I LOVE your Christmas videos fleur, they really get me in the Christmas spirit 🎄 xxx

Finally somebody else who understands my Christmas candle addiction!!
Love this video Fleur! I also love Crabtree and Evelyn for Christmas candles, their Noel one is Christmas in a jar!
Love these options. The Clarins one is quite fresh piney...really good
Both NEST candles from Sephora! And of course the timing is perfect for the VIB sale!! ;) Ordered both the small size for little stocking gifts but also the big ones!

I'm obsessed with candles too...luckily my hubs supports my habit...but if your unsure about a scent payoff when it burns...take your finger and rub the top of the candle to warm it slightly and you'll get an idea how it will smell when lit...since the scent changes slightly when you burn candles 🙃

Can't wait for your gift guide :-)
The white company winter candle is my favourite for Christmas!!
YOUR CHRISTMAS INTRO IS LOVE
Definitely get your hands on Ecoya candles Fleur :) they're one of the most popular brands in Australia & NZ and I've bought their Pine Needles candle every year for the past 5 years! I love this! You make such interesting videos Fleur! Thankyou for all the content!
Beautiful choice of candles - would be a dream to own some of them. I buy most of mine from TK Maxx and Sainsbury's. Loving your makeup in this video Fleur!
I'm glad you mentioned the m&s candle. I was in there the other day and smelt it and it's gorgeous and doesn't break the bank too 🙂
Great video😊The White Company do a-maz-ing candles!Winter is my favourite scent for Christmas-its gorgeous and smells of cinnamon and for all other times of the year it's their Lime & Bay scent.
I love the little Christmassy intro, Fleur! X
The Under the Tree candle by Rewined is my favorite Christmas candle. It's amazing!
Lovely video. My favourite for autumn and winter is Molton Brown Patchouli and saffron...well worth the money.
Will you be doing your Christmas gift guides this year fleur? I love them and give me so many ideas! :) xx

I just bought my first Nest candle, a holiday scent, and it's just wonderful!!
Are you and Mike gonna be filming your yearly christmas gift guide? I love them so much, so i'm crossing my fingers!
Watching your top-10 videos is always so much fun ^_^

You should try the St Eval candles they smell amazing!!! The nicest one is bay and rosemary it's great in your kitchen
Hi, Fleur! Would you consider to do a top 5 or top 10 best red lipsticks for holidays? x0x0
That diptique candle!!!
One of my favorites is the Winter candle from Marks & Spencer! I picked it up while abroad two winters ago and I can't bear to burn it all the way since I can't get another easily.
Nest has some great Christmas candles at Sephora this year.
I'd love a budget Christmas candle video, I'm sure there are some hidden gems out there!
Boots have Urban Apothecary candles this year, they smell absolutely amazing! All very strongly scented. Highly recommend giving them a sniff!
