      The Yankees will not win a World Series with Cashman and Boone at the helm. Cashman has had 15+ years and has shown he is no evaluator of talent.
      Hal doesn’t know from him and that’s the reason Cashman is still here. He has to find the strength from within to do what his Father would have done years and years ago. They are smart baseball men out there that can evaluate and sign great talent.

      Hal has to find the inner strength to do what should have been done years ago and fire Cashman and Boone. There are smart baseball leaders out there that can lead the Yankees back to winning World Series titles.

  • @williamoleary9330
    @williamoleary9330 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why is Boone allowing Gil and Rondon to give up 7 and 8 runs before he finally takes them out??? I mean seriously!
    When Boone allows a Pitcher to give up 4+ runs over a couple of innings it’s so hard to come back from that. The Yankees offense has proven that when its happened to them. And this guy has allowed Pitchers to give up 6, 7, or 8 runs before he FINALLY gets them out of there.
    If I was Rondo I’d be pissed off at Boone for allowing me to stay in there having given up 8 freakin runs!

  • @DrDetfink
    @DrDetfink 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Build? Complacent is more like it. The Yankees relied heavily on young men, rookie Luis Gil and 2-3 year young man Chuck Schmidt to carry them. They did for most 1st half but they’re still #4 and #5 guys. Outside of Cole, the starters are meh. Rodon is hot/cold. Stroman is ok. Nestor Cortes belongs at long relief.

  • @williamoleary9330
    @williamoleary9330 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Will a Reporter please ask Boone this question🙏
    “Aaron, when does winning a World Series become the most important thing instead of worrying about a guys feelings or his ego?”
    He’ll say “what do you mean by that”
    “Well, you allow guys who have failed for weeks and months to keep getting at bats, keep getting to pitch or not being able to come through in a clutch situation and I think that’s prevented the Yankees from winning a World Series”.
    I wish someone would ask Cashman similar things

    With the injuries to the Orioles SP staff, they’re the front runners to sign Scherzer this off season with Burnes to use Scherzer as a rental until their staff is healthy, and Scherzer will sign with them just because he knows he has an incredibly high probability of winning the Fall Classic and Baltimore will utilize him as a pitcher and coach to take their young talent to the next level being guided by Burnes and Scherzer. The Orioles are so good and getting so much better with time, that players are going to sign deals with them that they normally wouldn’t sign just because they know it’s going to lead to a ring. For the first time since Free Agency started, the Orioles will have an edge on the Yankees when it comes to signing players. ITS ABOUT FRIGGEN TIME!!!

    Yankees are fantastic when they play against average teams and bad teams.

    • @95Ldunc
      @95Ldunc 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can’t come to that conclusion during the regular season. They lost game 1 against the Dodgers by a run in extra with Juan Soto on the bench. They lost to the Orioles in extra inning in game 2 without Judge. The Red Sox beat us at full strength but they’re also a .500 ball club and regardless of them beating us two out of three they are not a winning team. It’s typical for fans to overreact to losing a game or winning a series but in the big picture it’s a 162 game marathon and then a tournament to find out who is really the best. In 200 the Yankees swept the Red Sox in a 4 game series at the Stadium. (The series where Derek Jeter dove into the stands and bloodied his face). We swept that series….but who wound up winning the ALCS and was the 2004 World Series champion? So in the grand scheme of things how important was our 4 game regular season sweep? No one even remembers that.
      I’m going to judge the Yankees based on how they do overall with their regular season wins (over good or bad teams) and during the playoff, not a three game series during the regular season.

    Lets be honest, no one ever thought Catcher and 2B was an issue. Coming into the season, Trevino with Wells was good and still is decent. 2B with Gleybor in his contract walk year, we all expected him to break out. 1B with Rizzo, maybe but he is Judge's BFF and you expected them to keep with him. Can we give Ben Rice some time to get settled in? 3B was solved with Berti.. until he got injured. I never expected Gil to perform like he did and yet one bad outing doesnt make him crap. This take is unreal. Yes, the Yankees do not build through the draft because we will not allow them to suck like that to be able to pick in the top 20. Although, not a lot of picks other than Judge and currently Volpe have broke into stars on the team. Baseball and injuries happen. Lets hold they have enough moxie to break through this slump.

      To be fair, the Yankees tried to build a team through the farm system. Because of a variety of circumstances, like injuries, poor player development, etc. Severino, Bird, Sanchez, Frazier, Andujar, Montgomery, Torres, German never fully reached their potential. I agree that they should be giving younger guys chances, they don't have an impact infield bat that's ready to come up. Lombardi and Arias are a few years away. The best they can hope for is that Rice, Cabrera, and Peraza produce.

    The one thing Yankees fans should be afraid of is that the Orioles have the best farm system in Baseball and they can use that to get whatever they need at the trade deadline and no one can out bid them.

    • @johnnyboccuzzi5404
      @johnnyboccuzzi5404 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed, but if smaller markets like Houston and Atlanta are any indication, they'll likely hug their prospects and rely on the system to develop players rather than go out and trade for talent that let's be honest, will likely leave for a larger paycheck and a bigger market.

      @@PopOutPaulie That 117 OPS+ and .345 OBP last year is misleading, he had a terrible 1st half 85 tOPS+, .325 OPB, .739 OPS per BBRef. 102 wRC+ per FanGraphs, compared to 119 tOPS+, .374 OPB, .878 OPS, 144 wRC+ in the 2nd half. Every year is like this and I'm not getting into his horrid defense. The second half last year looked great and a return to the stats of his 1st two years where he raked offensively. Unfortunately, it came when the season was already lost. A deeper look into his stats proves what many of us fans that have watched him over the last six years have come to realize; he can't be relied on to be a main guy in the lineup.
      Fans can't stand him because he's come to epitomize this iteration of the team since the retooled "Baby Bombers" era of 2017; inconsistent. He's worn out his welcome in NY.

      @@johnnyboccuzzi5404 But my comment is to these guys blaming Cashman and calling it a mistake keeping Gleyber. How can you get off of a 2nd baseman coming off a season putting up those numbers? Regardless if they came in the 2nd half or not. Those were his numbers, and regardless of how he got those numbers or when they came 2nd base isn't a premium spot to find hitters and hitting was the biggest issue last year. So was Cashman supposed to let him go?

    • @johnnyboccuzzi5404
      @johnnyboccuzzi5404 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PopOutPaulie In the eyes of many of us Yankee fans, yes, Cashman should have traded him. Apparently, there was a deal on the table in '22 at the deadline that ultimately fell through that would have sent him to Miami in exchange for Pablo Lopez.
      I agree that offensive production at 2nd is a luxury and hitting has been an issue for the Yankees. However, the team needs consistent hitting and Torres isn't a remedy, he's been a major contributor to the problem.
      If the situation were different and the team has had more consistency around Judge over the last few years, Torres might not be looked at as a scapegoat. He's panned by fans because like I said, he's the epitome of the lack of consistency that has been the downfall of the Yankees winning their 28th title.

But they'll make the playoffs. they're 52-27 right now with 83 games left. Even if they play near .500 ball the rest of the way, they can get to 94- 95 wins and a lock for the playoffs at least. MLB network showed last night the dramatic decrease in spin rates on Gil's all 3 pitches yesterday. For whatever reason the spin rate was down more than 500 rpm on his 4-seamer and the rates on his slider and change up were down even further, like 800-900 rpm lower. That made him a lot more hittable. The question is why the dramatic decrease... is it just a one game thing or is there something more to it?
