You've got this I started at 41... was in 7K debt and living in my overdraft. I'm now debt free have a 15K emergency fund. 20K saving pot and just surpassed 150K. Diversification and a clear understanding of your financial goals are key... I am almost 43 now!

The only comparison that matters is the one to yesterday's self. Today you're starting which means you're already better than you were yesterday:)

I lost a lot chasing individual stocks and I feel pretty silly for not understanding how investing works. I have a double major in economics but I’ve been trying to make sense of the market. Well done on profits!

    • @ShelleyfromCali

Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take some risk but don't try to shoot the lights out. I’m invested in ETFs, equity index funds, and individual stocks and use a CFA. On average, she takes 10% of earnings, but using *Lina Dineikiene's* system makes it much more hands-off. I conservatively follow her recommendations and market entry and exit points, and tbh this makes it fairly simple for me... I am convinced it's not just hard work but smart work :-)

Glancing over the videos for something to watch, I noticed that primarily, the "fight" videos are the ones that get over 100K views. These great learning videos only get 5K to 10K views. I appreciate your continuing to make them, Dave.

Well that's just in the first couple days. My academic tutorials accumulate views over years and years, since students watch them specifically when they need to for a particular class.

I started watching these videos, they might not get as many but I love them anyways.
Though I do enjoy watching him dismantle all these flat earth/young earth it whatever.
Correcting misinformation is a great way to educate people also so I appreciate that he does that. Plus hopefully he can get through to some of the people who have fallen into those lies.

Dave is teaching future generations what they should’ve taught us. Learning about investing and economics early is a HUGE benefit. And I’m not even 30 yet so I still benefit from these videos as well. Thanks professor!

You can setup a brokerage account where you can buy ETFs or purchase a mutual fund directly from the financial institution. Look for ones with low fees, all in one portfolio ETFs are a good option.

I know professor dave has moved on. From Flat earth, but i so would love for him to do an interview with a cgi artist/computer scientist. To show what their software looks like. And how their probably is no geniune talented artist that can deny 3d modeling math, lighting, dymanics, physics,.. they may not have a full grasp on all theses topics but they have to have a lot of info inorder to symmulate these things aka create a fake image. And how imposible real life cams and satillite footage would be to fake. I went to school for this and head longed into light and motion physics and complex geometry.
