GLIPIZIDE BEFORE GETTING EXRETED IN URINE, GETS CONVERTED INTO AN INACTIVE METABOLITE IN THE LIVER. BUT THATS NOT THE CASE WITH GLIBENCLAMIDE. HENCE GLIPIZIDE BETTER IN RENAL FAILURE. ANOTHER ADVANTAGE BEING SHORT ACTING WITH LOWER HYPOGLYCEMIC PROFILE THAN GLIBENCLAMIDE.
Great teaching
Great discussion
Excellent sir waiting for part 2
excellent sir , cover more topics
Wonderful sir🎉
Sir... glipizide is 70% eliminated in urine. Then hw useful in renal failure?
Whereas glibenclamide is >50 % bile excretion ?

Glipizide does not form active metabolites which cause hypoglycemia
