I think bad driving has been a scourge of all time, so apart from driver education designing the road to prevent dumb decisions is at least something. Some states requires student drivers to take professional driving course, but others can allow family members to teach the driver. Maybe we'd need professional driving courses for everybody but not all schools even offer driving courses, leaving it to the parents to teach their kids how to drive. And kids replicate their parents driving habits good or bad.
I don't like highways like this without a median. Just not the safest thing, even if it isn't technically the highways fault. Every like 5-10mph increase in speed from 45 mph standard of IIHS crash test makes the damage to the car much worse. And a lot of people in this crash weren't wearing seat belts including at least one if not both the young kids.
In AZ hwy 93 Phoenix to Vegas daily, there is a fatal crash. There are too many distraction and impairments while driving today. Be safe and happy new year.🎉
And too much impatience too. Taking shortcuts can lead to stuff like this, and spending weeks in the hospital is way worse than not speeding or passing illegally.

But at least do it when you have clear line of sight ahead! And your loaded minivan is not going to downshift and overtake someone without a lot of space. Come on now
Never did that myself. It's not good to be in that big a rush driving, just leads to accidents and mistakes. If you did I'm glad you are okay but I don't think it's good idea at all. The truck was actually the illegal password, the The truck was actually the illegal passer, the minivan was not at fault, and the truck driver was only 17 so it's not like he's a good driver yet.

Illegals shouldn’t have driver’s licenses. Most can’t speak, read, or write more less follow signs. Deport them all. Diversity is not good in the US.
