Dr Botak really has a brain under that bald head that DAP or Malaysia can tap and utilise. Very analytical, insightful and knowledgeable that every country would like to have. He doesn't play to the audience or even pander to his own interest. He lays the facts, the implications and consequences clearly for you to ponder. A podcast very much worth watching. He shouldn't think of ever leaving DAP because it's one party that allows him to reach greater height in the country's growth.

First impressions count! Good intellect, warm personality, and humbleness also appeal to the people of the constituency. Leaders such as YB OKM and Jamaliah Jamaluddin seem genuine and very approachable when they are on the ground. I remember running in Coway Run in 2018 at MAEPS (and many other runs) and meeting Dr OKM left me with lasting impressions. Best wishes to all honest leaders of Malaysia, regardless of race and faction.

Bangladesh formerly known as East Pakistan until 1973 when it broke off from Pakistan after a brief war. East Pakistan is itself a break off from the Indian state of Bengali. Today Indian Bengal is known as West Bengal. Bengali’s originate from Bengal. Punjabi’s originate from the state of Punjab on the western part of India. Today Punjab is divided between India and Pakistan as Muslim Punjab and Sikh Punjab. In Malaysia we commonly refer to the Sikh community as Bengali. No idea how this came about. The community does not like it so we should refrain from calling them Bengali.

@@samramasamy8804 If you stretch history further back under the British Raj, The Bengal presidency included Penang, Singapore and Melaka. In its inception, you had Benggali sepoys settling Georgetown. There are Benggalis Malaysians (Malaysian Indian). We the Indo-Malayan community are made up many ethnolinguistic groups within the minority there is micro minorities. This makes us politically very malleable 😂

Smooth succession is critical in all countries.
Even in Singapore, it is important not just to have an "heir", it is critical to have a "spare".
The usual scenario is to ask, if the heir is hit by a car crossing the road, who steps up ?

Our PMX is unwise. He has alienated the traditional supporters of PKR and PH. PH supporters were mainly pro reformation and clean government. Justice and an inclusive administration of the country. PH don't own their supporters. While they don't like PAS/PN, they don't vote them given no other alternative. Most of the disgruntled DAP/PH supporters will stay away in the next GE. Of course they love to punish PMX ensuring he will not come back to be PM. DAP also must learn a lesson that their leaders cannot take their supporters for a ride. Wait and watch how the voters will punish DAP.

I do feel PMX need to finish this term fixing many urgent country problems and can fasten reforms in his second term. But I am starting to feel many friends actually share the same sentiments as you. So PH, DAP, PKR and other components of the Madani govt - better start address the concerns of this group. Ignoring this group can be a disaster for PH in GE16..

Just pray hard and hope that we will not be severely affected by USA decisions for our country in the coming days. Dr Ong, spending time to reason Gobind leaving the building is fine by all means. The manner the conversation started with the “Benggali” CIMB comment at 11 and in the end at 38 coming out to dispel the racial narrative resonated more strongly with me. I don't think both was necessary. Both did not augur well with me. In my humble opinion you are just virtue signalling DAP new identity under the “UG” coalition government. DAP is now shifting itself maybe shedding its Malaysian Malaysia identity towards a more GERAKAN model or a alternative version of PKR. This is where I see parallel between the Democrats and DAP. I understand that Malaysian Malaysia has a negative connotation but it espouses the hope some the non Malay population. Like how MIC and MCA influenced waned being in government, DAP’s influence is waning amongst some of its fence supporters but I would bet my bottom dollar being in the government DAP have been improving its election machinery. While DAP might retain its strongholds (I reflect on the 2004 elections 12 core seats), swing seats where DAP doesn’t normally stand will see a decrease in non Malay voters for its allies.
On Donald Trump I think you take on a stronger ringgit and weaker dollar is spot on. Contrary to popular belief Democrats have always been responsible for a higher dollar. Historically the Republicans operate the economy in a certain mould. IF Trump wants to increase productivity in the US, bring back production to America, pursue slapping tariff on Chinese goods he would be looking for lower dollar. If we can retain or increase our market share without any sanctions, Malaysia can chug along but as you have pointed out if US interest withdraws and we cant replace it Malaysia will be staring at a very very bleak future.
Thank you so much for the content. Tuned in hoping for some commentary on Aerodyne as well as the whistleblower fiasco. Next week maybe?

    • @jawsbushaxen4179
      @jawsbushaxen4179 หลายเดือนก่อน

I am one who prefer the Trumpian policies.. however, i feel like those can only be done in a position of power aka by a top richest developed nation. The only obstacle for the MAGA team is the bureaucracy. For us Malaysians, we have yet to go through the decades of fight for freedom, anti-racism, church/state separation and economic boom the west has overtaken. Those are the tools used to cultivate corruption in the nation. No matter how hard we try to fight corruption, we have to recognise the causation.
The Democrats became irrelevant when they tried to fight a non existent boogeyman. But that boogeyman is real in our turf. So im torn when it comes to Malaysian politics.

Whats worse DAP is involved in the approval of the AKTA342...this is bad intentions. This is not why voters put them in power but they forgot all their promises. I am a chinese and never will accept even a slight ideology of Communism. So maybe thats is part of the reason why Mr. Singh is not align to the idea. Not in Kulai, we have not met our MP after election. I think DAP very poor at keep in touch with the voters. MP does not have to do personally, his/her representative can do this job. Don't just appear in the kampung when the election comes. People don't need you to spread money, but they like to have in touch with you.
DAP is no more opposition party, you need to change your way of performing.

I am an 80 year old man from Penang. Gobind forgot that his father was a highly respected Dap leader. He devoted his life to serving the rakyat. He was not interested in high positions. Govind nominated his friend Revindran as the Mayor of Penang. His ultimate aim is to become the first Indian Chief Minister of Penang. Scott Road was changed to Ramanathan Road even though the person had never stayed in the area. He wanted to make Penang into an Indian state. Remember ❤what happened to Penang Gerakan years ago
Sooner or later there would be atyphoon reaction from the people of
Penang. Remember what happened to the Penang Gerakan

While I agree with the assessment on US election, what's unclear is the extent the issue of sexism impacted male voter behavior (including white, Hispanic and even black).

Is a chance for MCA to shine again! DAP stands for DAP and squeeze their voters as dry as possible, MCA stands for Chinese working hand and in hand with UMNO.

Are the rakyat ok since pakatan come in??The answer no.rising cost the main factor.many major problem not fix(flood) but the money channel to other states by Anwar.gobind quiet like nothing happen.
Then the technology investment or work, many go to penang but not selangor and kl.gobind though selangor people are idiot in this.
