  • Vincent Price helps Wolfgang Puck prepare a very dated fish recipe from the 1980s.
    Apologies for the poor sound.

@arisztidoltz he actually released a cookbook in the 80's. my cousin got to interview him for a Texas newspaper. The next day he needed a ride to the airport and his chauffeur had cancelled. The only other person in town who he could call was my cousin. So he called her and of course she agreed to give him a lift. Upon reaching the airport he stepped out of her car, grinned, and said "Madame, I have been in many a horror film, but your driving is the scariest thing i have ever seen."

Hahaha, hilarious!!! I could only imagine his voice saying such criticisms in such a dignified and courteous way.

I love how focused Vincent seems in watching Wolfgang cooking the ingredients, his eyes, he is obviously very interested and really learning and memorizing the recipe. Vincent Price was a great cook and it is wonderful to see him in this video studying the techniques of another culinary master.

If you're ever lucky enough to find Vincent Price's cookbook "A Treasury Of Great Recipes" in an old bookstore, do yourself a favor & buy it! I found a 1st edition from 1965 & it's my favorite cookbook. He & his wife went to the best restaurants in the world & collected their favorite recipes from them for this book. It's also the most lavish cookbook I've ever seen; they spared no expense in its production (at least my edition). Plus, it's a real trip back to an era when cooking was done right!

Vincent was a jack of all trades so to speak. He and few other actors like him during his time did alot of the same things suprisingly enough.act, write, cook, creative instincts on high here for sure.Miss yah Vinny.

The interest with which Price watches Puck cook is unusual for television. Ordinarily, the chatter is constant, but Price merely makes the occasional comment or repeats what Puck says as though he is memorising the recipe. He’s clearly engrossed in observing Puck’s technique.

Yeah, Vincent Price was definitely not just "the horror movie guy." He worked with people like Orson Welles, Joseph Cotton and Jose Ferrer. I think Vincent Price was more talented than some people gave him credit for.

I've eaten some grilled salmon lately, and it was delicious, only it didn't have the sauce on it that was featured in the video with Wolfgang Puck and Vincent Price.
