In the comics, he became Ronin when he lost his family. Speculation is that Clint's family was affected by the snap (recently named Decimation)

This is what I can think is my 10th time through watching this trailer ... for me it’s amazing and now we’re into a great 👍 adventure with How to Train Your Dragon 3, Captain Marvel, Dumbo and Avengers Endgame in less than 4 months! I AM STOKED!
At first when Cap said "Is this an old message"? I thought that was a strange thing to say (maybe not so strange if they thought he was dead I guess). Got me thinking, tho, that time travel should somehow be factored in here. Scott was seen with the van that has the Pym device to travel to the quantum realm. Is the plan, that Natasha said should work to Cap, a plan of time travel after conferring with Scott about his time in the quantum zone? After all Cap did look at the old photo of Peggy Carter while they were discussing this plan. Hmmm. The other potential missing link is will Skrulls be a factor at all after the 90s adventure in Captain Marvel? We know she will be involved in Endgame.
So ready for this! I think 2nd trailer will show more hopefully get to see Rocket and War machine,and maybe captain marvel and more of thanos,ant man and hawkeye/ronin..i think a full offical trailer will air during the super Bowl perhaps. He has gotten out of the quantum realm before. Remember in the first Ant-Man movie he got out, & by himself I might add. So, him coming back this time is no surprise. Also, did you see the missing board that banner was looking at? Shuri is on the missing list next to Ant-Man on the right before it switched to Spider-Man. The Wakandan royal family is gone. Also, Hawkeye looks pissed, & I think it is because his family got dusted. I think that Captain Marvel will save Tony, & Nebula. They confirmed that everything from this trailer happens in the first 15 to 30 minutes of the film. I can't take this, lol.
There were claims by the Russo Bros that the title was never spoken in the last film, so "Endgame" was supposedly ruled out; however, the truth is that it was one of three titles in consideration (along with "Annihilation" and "Infinity Gauntlet"). While they didn't want to be predictable, they eventually decided that even if this technically broke their word/claim from earlier, it was the best title on multiple levels and finally went with it. Interestingly, Kevin Feige has said he regrets the hullabaloo about keeping the title hidden initially, or at least in their being so tight-lipped and secretive. The intent was to focus on "Infinity War" so it wouldn't be overshadowed by its sequel, but the result was it being all the more so than if they'd just dropped a placeholder or something. Still, I think the timing was well-handled personally, and it's kind of fitting for this to drop less than a week after the second "Captain Marvel" trailer did.
I think ant-man got out through the time vortex he was warned about prior to going in to quantum realm. He's probably seen a lot by now. Maybe even met captain marvel.
At the end when it showed Scott on the front door security cam, at the top left of the screen it said archive. I wonder if he’s really there in that moment or if some weird time travel really is going on?
Either Captain marvel or Adam Warlock find Tony in space specially In Starlords ship and bring him to earth. They both should know of The Guardians of the Galaxy. Captain marvel because they killed her former boss Ronan and Adam Warlock because of the Gold lady that made him to go after The Guardians of the Galaxy in their second movie.
Here is my theory based on this trailer. Captain Marvel saves Iron Man and Nebula from space, Ant Man escapes the quantum realm and comes up with the idea along with Bruce Banner on how to fix everything traveling through that realm also there will be a surprise hero i'm thinking out of nowhere possible Nova or the actual Nova Corps or the Watcher
Who says Marvel can't be dark and gritty? Ha Marvel was the first ones to defy the CCA (basically the FCC for comics) back in the 1960s with their more mature stories and darker characters. Marvel was the first comics to be distributed without CCA approval. The CCA made sure all comic companies followed their rules of decency which meant no mention of drugs, witches, demons, no excessive violence and no adult-themed story's. Marvel were the first ones to defy them when Stan Lee, against CCA approval, distributed The Amazing Spider-Man issue 96-98 about the dangers of drug abuse without the CCA approval. It was condemned by the CCA due to it's realistic and graphic nature of drugs, overdosing and violence
Does anyone get the feeling that Tony will be saved by Captain Marvel? I think what Nebula's touching is clothing, i think she's in the Guardians ship and that clothing belongs to Gamora. I mean just a humble take on what i think. And i believe that what Cap is reffering to when he says "it is gonna work" is because Scott found something, i think Ant-Man is the answer in this film with the Quantum thing.
Maybe Iron Heart will show up in this movie... to help his partner Iron Man.... and also they introduce in this film the new avengers including Ant-Man, Ronin Hawkeye and Captain Marvel... because this is the last movie of Captain America.
