The story behind this character is something you don't see often because of how much has changed around them, love this video, love this character, love this channel.
There’s something about this video that I just love that keeps bringing me back. I think it’s the distant screams and cheers, the thought of everyone being out having fun but still getting to have this little quiet place. Gives me the same weirdly comforting feeling of going on a late night walk in the snow 😂
Some of the symbolism and effects went completely unnoticed or over my head on the first watch through, but after the second I started catching little details like the snowflakes, and how you reflected the game being easy for some people, and hard for others (in other words some people fall asleep faster than others), but overall I still loved this video! Your asmr is one of the few that acctualy puts me to sleep, so thank you for the incredible video, and here's to many more!
All of these videos are oddly cinematic, but in the way that you don’t think to question the complexity of the whole setup but instead you just listen and enjoy.
The amount of meaning you can derive from this video is insane. with the background fading away it could be seen as you being sent into a new world or as the vendor suggests, just zeroing in. him saying "did you do that?" could also be interpreted as a joke or as him actually thinking you're behind it. I interpret it as death playing a final game with the vendor before he dies, the darkness beginning to zero in on him, and because of the quality of the writing and atmosphere that could be true! such an awesome video Atlas, keep it up.
just appreciating where Atlas is as a creator. I remember Atlas reading us a story about ducks (which i still love) and now we're here. I jus think that's really freaking cool.
I feel like the lightbulb man is a creepy (kinda friendly though) supernatural predator, slowly drawing us away from physical reality and into the abyss as we cut off the bulbs one by one.
Perhaps I’m looking too hard into it, but I feel as though there is some sort of metaphor going on here. My first thought was that it had something to do with addiction. At first whatever you’re addicted to feels like a carnival and it’s new and happy and you’re loving it. It’s fun. But then as you progress through the game, the laughter stops, the room gets darker and colder, your friend leaves you, and you’re alone in darkness. Perhaps the game itself is someone trying to quit an addiction. Every time a new light presents itself it’s them trying to stop. And every time, there’s some new method that doesn’t quite seem to work, until it does! Only to be presented with the the relapse - or another lightbulb… each time you try to turn it off, the old methods don’t work, and that voice in your head keeps telling you to play the game until finally, it’s over I suppose… Then I also thought maybe it’s a metaphor for life itself… slowly inching your way, towards darkness. The fun comes and goes, the snow and the wind… and then nothing… I don’t know. This is probably one of the best videos you’ve made though, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
How about just winding down for the day to sleep. Leaving the distractions and addictions (phone etc.) behind and turning off your lights. Some people wind down easily, just flick the switches, others take some time. Ultimately the last switch is closing your eyes. Also plays in how it used to be played more, but now new distractions showed up, life got faster.
The immersion of your videos always seems to increase with each new upload. Genuinely felt like some mystical booth tucked far off the main path. Your creativity knows no bounds!

Calm wind sounds through old creaking buildings are very underrated when it comes to atmosphere. And despite the dark look of this place it feels strangely nostalgic to me. fir those of you who aren't familiar with the game... it's basically about being able to control time in space...to be able to slow down time or to go back in time for a specific thing...to grow the tree in two seconds or make it regress to a seed to see the building being constructed in a second to shoot and slow the bullets watch some gameplay u will get the idea

I don't often rewatch the same asmr videos, as there's so many to explore. But there's just something about this one that keeps me coming back. It has this feeling like there's a mystery to solve but I never quite get the answer. An incredible piece of art, to be sure.
I don't know what it was about this video but for some reason it made me think back on what my life has been like already and what it could be in the future and I don't know how to process this... It was strange, but wisely eye opening

These past few videos, can you even call this ASMR anymore? It's still that same kind of soothing, and it still bears all the things that qualify it to be ASMR, but it honestly feels like more than that at this point. This is becoming more of an exhibition of your filmmaking talent, short story development, cinematographic skill, and editing technique with each new project like this. I find it harder and harder to call these anything less than genuine short films at this point. Truly genius.

There was a three week span of time shortly after this video came out that I actually got to sleep regularly and in a decent amount of time. This video is what enabled that. It doesn’t still work I don’t think (haven’t tried for a while), but I’m so grateful for the time when it did.
This is a kinda creepy ominous video but still very beautifully made. Because at one point the crowd noises all cease, the control panel looks aged on the last light. The last light is flickering, and you just dissappear. A beautifully made video for sure.

i just KNOW that there’s a deeper meaning with the bulbs and dialogue but i’m quite literally about to pass out, beautiful as always!
I caught on during my fourth viewing that the bulbs turning off is a metaphor for relaxation or sleep, but I could always be wrong.
