I don't get how anyone can be so... well, darn rude towards you on here. You come across as a class act. From an Army guy to a Marine, thanks for serving and thanks for all of your awesome fishing videos Mark!
Mark remember the Houston Fishing is coming up this week. Last year Buggs had a booth there and i regret not buying lures from then. Lots of cool stuff there.
Love your channel Mark. I'm so hooked on these videos. Thinking of getting a kayak myself. Keep these videos coming! I try to go to Galveston a couple times a month.
I really like your videos and it's fun watching you learn your way to becoming the best angler you can be. I would like to educate you regarding the slime on speckled trout. Trout are not typically the most hardy fish. If you plan to release the fish be sure to wet your hands prior to touching it. By touching the fish out of water, and with a dry hand-you are removing the protective slime from the surface of the fish. This slime is a barrier on the exterior of the fish to keep bacteria and fungus out. If this slime is removed the fish will very likely die of a fungus. It would be great if you could do your own research and mention this in one of your videos at an appropriate time. Education is key and using your platform is a great place to accomplish this. Keep up the good work and tight lines, Sir.
Mark, two things... 1. I love that back water that you have there to fish on 2. I am pissed off that you get to catch flounder in Feb while I have to wait until May
lol, I'd still like to get on them stripers up there. And the blues are no joke, especially the gators! The Hawaii trip looked like some serious fun. Gave a big thumbs up to it.
well you are invited up here anytime as you know if you want to come back for a weekend. Your viewers probably dont know that the cow you caught in that raritan bay video was with me. Yeah the hawaii trip was fun. I only wish that it was not a business trip and that I had more time to get into some serious fishing. Thanks for the thumbs up on that video
You’re my favorite fishing channel not only are you local but you know your shit lol you giving SOME of your spots is just the icing. I ordered some of them lures can’t wait to use them!! FISH ON
thanks for the support! In my opinion there are no such thing as secret spots. Y'all support my channel by watching, which helps me to be able to do what I do. If the fish are there, everyone should be able to enjoy them.
MDLR Fishing i just appreciate the tips you have given me. Not owning a boat or kayak (YET) i don’t have many spots. I’m in Baytown and i tend to stay local... but people tell me to try sea wolf and the dike. Hopefully NEXT weekend i can get some fishing done. Appreciate it the tips and links
Great job on the edit. I like the continuous audio with changing views. Have you had any major issues with the Hero6? If so did any updates fix it or change is settings? I have the Hero5 and was considering a 6 on the next purchase for a setup much like yours with head cam and 3rd person shots from tripod/kayak mount.
When recording higher than 30 fps it corrupted my files several times during the save process . It’s the only issue I’ve had so far. My camera is up to date so there’s nothing to be done to try and fix it at the time.
It's a 500 series spinning reel paired with a light action rod. I use it for crappie and panfish but it's strong enough to bring in the salt variety as well.
Honestly it is not a good idea to disclose all of your locations. You will be surprised how quickly words spread. I have already figured out a couple of your spots and other youtubers' spots using Google Earth and the landmarks in your videos. That video that lady showed you where you are fishing around that broken down wooden structure in the marsh. If they want to find it make them work for it. Don't stoop so low and maintain your dignity by giving them a treat to watch your video, that should be the video itself.

Thanks for the kind words!

Our trout is shut down in NC until June, I’m so jealous. Great video as always
Bay or not, that was some seriously still water for saltwater. What a beautiful setting.

Do u still think it’s a good time to catch flounder at places like sea wolf park this time of year
I honestly don't know. I've been to Seawolf twice and haven't caught anything there.

hmm.. maybe I will just wait and grab another 5 for now. Still great video even with the technically issues haha
Hey Mark, do you have any coupon codes for the lures on the website?
I wish, I'm not a Promotional Staffer for Buggs so I don't have one. I just love their lures.
You really should be, you are the reason I bought my Buggs Lures. Great job.
What size of reel and rod you using
It's a 500 series spinning reel paired with a light action rod. I use it for crappie and panfish but it's strong enough to bring in the salt variety as well.
MDLR Fishing I just got a battle Penn 4000 with a med.atction rod...wonder if that is good for trouts and reds..I got 12 lbs test..
Oh yeah most definitely good enough.
Is buggs lure available in amazon? I'm in Antigua, and it's easier to buy online through amazon or ebay.
Fil Antiguan you can find them on the fish tackle unlimited site
joe424 thank you
I haven't found them on Amazon.
Buggs is a Houston local....no?
yes, the greater Houston area.
I'm sorry that I missed it but what wait on that artificial works best for you, the bug shrimp?
1/16 oz
MDLR Fishing thank you, going to make my order.
Do a retrieve vid on that bugs
as in showing how the lure looks in the water as I retrieve it? Just making sure I follow your question.
MDLR Fishing yes lol
I'll try to when I go back out. The water isn't that clear anymore.
