    Torn my left knee ACL maybe 8 years ago ( Not sure didn't do the MRI test at the right). 5 Years ago, I consulted with a docotor. He didn't recommend surgery and he said that rehab is can do the trick. I did the rehab at home ( Didn't really check with a physiotherapist. Everything was fine, until I torn my other ACL. This time I checked with another surgeon and he recommended the surgery for both legs. This was two years ago, and unfortuantely for my old injury the doctor told me that I need to go under this ostetomy surgery long with ACL reconstruction. I am having this surgery next week. Hopefully, I can recover quickly.

      @@stoka43 hello, im a 40 year old electrician who works off ladders. I ruptured my patellar tendon,tore acl, pcl and meniscus in 2015. I had a surgery to fix patellar tendon but knew I had to come back for 2nd surgery at some point in future. I chose to not do it so I could get back to work in 2016, but now my lack of meniscus and acl put me out of work this month. Doctor says Im bone to bone and need High tibial osteotomy to relieve pressure and acl reconstruction. Im concerned that people claim HTO lasts around 10 years. Do you know anything about how long these should last? And how long it takes to get us back to normal? How are you feeling and recovering now? Are you regretting this surgery?

      Hi Meechiz, how are you? Don't do this surgery or you will have this problem forever. Besides not solving anything, you will be much worse off than you are now. The surgery that was done on me and that I still regret having done is called varus osteotomy of the calcaneus. This surgery is a medical mistake. The cause of flatfoot is the plantar fascia of the foot in flatfooters, which is a little elongated and therefore makes the arch of the foot fall. One can only strengthen this region with weight training exercises or physiotherapy, or use a self-adhesive bandage in this region, in the middle of the foot that forms a curve in it. They saw off half of the heel bone that has nothing to do with the cause of the flat foot and put it 1cm inwards, put a screw afterwards to hold the bone in this position and wait for it to consolidate, so that it is crooked in the foot. But the heel of the people, all of them and those with flatfoot, is perfect, there is nothing wrong with the heel. They do this and ruin the heel of the person, the bone, because they move it in a place it is not supposed to move. As a result, a bone scar is left in place. It is not the same as a normal fracture where afterwards the bone becomes strong again and perfect as it was before. When they perform surgery on a bone, or saw it with a saw, it is different, as it is a very aggressive procedure, the bone is left with a problem afterwards, a weak bone scar remains in place that never returns to normal. This happens with every osteotomy procedure. Even if it is in any part of the body, this happens, or in other similar surgeries. Then the bone doesn't come loose or break, but it slides little by little and sinks inwards with time. It keeps sliding, it doesn't become as firm as it was before. Then, with time, you start stepping crooked and the other bones of the body, in order not to break with the overweight they get from the crooked step, and misaligned also because of the foot that is bent, start to bend, just like the foot, in the same position, starting from the leg and hip and then back to the head and other parts and you start to get all crooked. The other bones of the body, as the position of the foot changes, start to bend too. And you get all crooked. Also, I forgot to mention, the nerves around the skin, as the heel changes position, the nerves in that area, the skin and the bone, also change their original position and then you can only feel bad things. It doesn't feel as good as before, neither in the external environment nor in your own body. They get kind of loose and flabby and out of place. Even doing physical exercise afterwards in that region or something else doesn't improve
      loose and saggy and out of place. Not even doing physical exercise afterwards in this region or anything else improves it. It stays that way. Sometimes passing an anti inflammatory ointment or oil with paraffin or anti inflammatory on the skin, it improves a little, but later it gets like that again. If sometimes it gets worse, you have to stop right away and remove the product. Take care, your health is precious. For those with flat feet, the best thing is to wear a shoe with a small high heel on the back, which is already a good relief, or to wear an orthosis. Or, do physiotherapy exercises on the plantar fascia of the foot or wear pronated foot shoes. They correct flat foot. But never do these surgeries they will destroy your health forever. Doctors don't even know how to undo these surgeries later. And the person is in trouble. Some know these things, but they are few, most don't even know that these things happen. Only patients who know why they did it on them. Doctors didn't do these surgeries on themselves so they would know. The anatomy books they study don't talk about it. Be careful. Health is precious. After you get lost with surgery, it's very difficult to go back. It's not worth it at all. It's just a headache. Whenever you hear the word osteotomy, run away from it. Never submit to it.
      I realized that something was wrong right after they operated on me, things got weird, but at the time I didn't understand what had happened, I just realized there was something wrong. With time, you fully realize the bullshit that these surgeries do to you. After about 6 months to a year or more. At the time, you feel that something is wrong, but you are not sure what it is. Over time, the person finds out. I was never the same person after I had this surgery. I got much worse. A hug.
      When I still had the screws in my heels, I would squat down on the hard floor and force my feet onto the hard floor and lean my body forward touching my hands on the floor, and forcing my heels into that position. As the bone doesn't stick right, it slides and the screws hold it, I did so, I felt the heel slipping into the right place, out again, and the bone was back in the place before. What a relief it was, everything was back to normal. But after I took the screws off, when we take them off, you can't do that anymore. A hug.

      Tiago, how is your legs now?

  • @tiagot6516
    @tiagot6516 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I wish this wasn't true, but these osteotomy surgeries ruin people's health and that of all the other people who have them done. The bone where they sawed afterwards doesn't stick properly anymore, it gets weak and it will slide little by little and sink inwards with time. I believe that a bone scar is left or for some other reason I don't know. Maybe it is left with little room to regenerate and becomes weak or another reason. It is not the same as a normal fracture where afterwards the bone becomes normal again. When you sawed it, or break it with a chisel, in this case it is different. The bone is left with a problem afterwards. Then the person gets all twisted because of this, as the bone sinks, it ends up twisting or sinks all the other bones of the body. If they do it in the lower limbs. But everywhere, it ends up disturbing people. Besides that, the nerves around where they do this also sink and leave their original place, and then the person starts to feel everything altered and only starts to feel bad things afterwards. Both in the external environment and in the body itself because of this. This surgery is a mistake in medicine, just as there are mistakes in any other profession. I don't know how it hasn't been forbidden until today, with so many people getting bad afterwards, I'm pretty sure all of them. It doesn't matter if it is done on the nose, leg, foot, heel, people end up getting bad the same way. I hope this comment helps. Take great care, health is very precious. After we lose it, our life becomes very difficult, and so does the life of the people around us, who end up being affected as well. A hug.

      Hi Vtg, how are you? I've been through it myself, my grandmother too, and other people who have these surgeries also do have bad from osteotomies. They damage the person's bone. Be ruined afterwards Ask people who have been through it and they will tell you how bad it gets afterward. Many of them even become invalids afterwards. have also studied about this. Unfortunately it is true. I wish it was a lie, but the worst thing is that it isn't. This is serious. A hug.
