General Bakshi's analysis is not only clear and excellent, but most importantly based on logic and facts.
India really needs to push very very hard for high technology, manpower and military might, because this will be the era of great powers. India needs to revolutionize its manufacturing base, that very weakness that it followed the west into (IT IT IT IT IT IT!!!).....now we feel the pain. Todays wars will be those of attrition, self sufficiency, quantity, strategy and tactics to use the tools, rather how much stealth per square inch does my plane have etc etc.
Until this time diplomacy will be required and India needs to keep its time tested non-alignment policy to ensure the large powers and their serfs eat each other into oblivion. India needs to emerge as a new civilizationation, intellectual, economic, cultural and most importantly military super power with ambitions without repeating mistakes of past Asian powers (Meiji Japan).
    JAI HIND!

One thing INDIA should learn from these wars. Is that INDIA shouldn't get sucked or get involved in any of these wars. Never ever to fight anybody's dirty war. But, be prepared & adopt the hi-tech technology.

I would say the opposite. India can't defeat Xi's aggression by herself. It makes sense for India to lead a coalition of countries to contain Xi. Including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Australia, France, USA and whoever else is willing to join.
This means that in the event of Taiwan, India has to help her allies.
If you mean that India should try to ween Russia away from China and try to stay out of the Israel / Gaza war . . . then we agree.

What would be Major Gen Bakshi's recommendations on how many:
---HAL Prachands India need?. Currently only 171 are planned. Many more, in my view, are needed.
---Weaponized HAL HTT-40s India needs for CAS? Far too few are planned. These are far cheaper for CAS than other options.
---heavy lift rotary wing aircraft India needs? And what skews?
---K-9 Vajra-T 155 mm arty are needed (Gen Bakshi said a lot more)?
---DRDO Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) 155 mm arty are needed (Gen Bakshi said a lot more)?
---Pinaka MBRL multiple rocket launchers needed?
---NAMICA? Are more than 200 needed?
As Gen Bakshi said, the Hal Tejas Mark 1A and Mark 2 are major game changers. And India plans to buy many hundreds of each skew.

Two things to learn: ONE, use tactful and DEFT diplomacy with public relations specialists, trained diplomats (including foreeign minister Jaishankar), and communication specialists creating both tactics and strategies to mitigate trouble with China and Pakistan and other countries. TWO - keep nuclear weapons projects highly ambitious and fast-tracked with changes in nuclear weapons poilcy and posturing. Using reactor-grade fuel (or AVLIS laser technologies if they are developed) can increase the nuclear weapons to over 500 weapons - and top-notch missiles like K-4 (which can maneuver all the way to the target) and Agni-5 (with Mach 25 top speed) can generally beat anti-missile defenses - and Brahmos cruise missiles are supersonic and capable of flying below in a terrain-hugging mode at supersonic speeds. A few hundred of these weapons will be a good deterrent.
With reactor-grade fuel, the use of a thermal bridge will allow a fission bomb with yields of 2-8 KT easily and the hydroden bomb's boosted fission primary can eliminate pre-detonation problems and allow a yield of 14-17 KT - ALL these yeilds are very powerful weapons when used in MASS SWARMING ATTACKS and precision strikes. Use of artificial intelligence using Israeli software would build extra nimbleness and speed. The main thing is training forces and developing anti-corruption/anti-espionage/anti-sabotage processes to keep highly efficient and distributed agile nuclear attack teams. The policy must also specify redlines when the no-first-use policy can be eliminated without notice. This is to build a DETERRENT and it does require boldness and brilliance that develops use cases and edge cases to work with.

Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s general Hari Singh Nalwa brought Kashmir back to Punjab after hard fought battle with Afghanistan. Dogra treachery of backstabbing the Sikh army which they were part of gave the British victory over Punjab. Sikh army won Ladakh and would have also won Tibet had the Tibetans not asked help from Chinese. India lost half of Kashmir to Pakistan, losing land in Ladakh to Chinese. During World War 3 China and Pakistan will be launching a two front war on India to take rest of Kashmir, Ladakh and Arunachal Pardesh which China calls South Tibet. So many Maharaja Ranjit Singh soldiers fought and died bravely only to have India lose it all.

  • @polnoeceloe
    @polnoeceloe 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

The war showed in Ukraine and Israel that you still need large numbers of infantry who are willing to die. You need kshatriyas. If you don't have warriors willing to fight every meter on the ground, you won't achieve anything. You can bombard the enemy with bombs or rockets, but the infantry must act after that, otherwise you will be stuck like Israel. They left the Gaza Strip in disgrace because they cannot fight the enemy face to face. They are lazy cowards who relied only on high technology, and they have degraded as warriors. God Himself tells Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita that you can die. He doesn't give him a magic bullet to win. He says, "Rise and fight without thinking about losses or gains." This is a kshatriya. “If you leave, your enemies will always talk about your shame, and for a warrior, dishonor is worse than death.” This is what happened to Israel. So this spiritual knowledge lives today, it is not what happened in the past, it lives always, eternal truth

The biggest surprise in this war inmo is the incompetence of Russian military forces. Ukraine had very few trained troops and mostly old Soviet-era equipment. What had been supplied by Western countries were only light arms and in very small numbers. Still Russia haver had tremendous losses, a lot more than Ukraine has. The summer offensive didn't go as Ukraine had hoped and a disappointment for them and the Western allies. They lack some ingredients to perform real combined arms warfare, which to my surprise Russia also do. It is now an artillery and trench warfare with drones thrown into the equation. Russia has used a lot of old Soviet doctrine, which sometimes the Ukrainians have also fell into, with attack (meat) waves. Especially around the battle of Bachmut, were Wagner had access to prisoners who were used as meat waves-10's of thousands mowed down and blown to pieces as they advanced toward the Ukrainian trenches.

Agreed that we are back in the era of trench warfare. Only overwhelming, well-trained boots on the ground backed by massive amount of artillery, missiles, drones will win a war. Even tanks are dead, maybe even aircraft carriers! From the information we civilians get, it looks like the political geniuses are doing everything to make sure we lose a 2-front war. Even though we have the best 155 mm guns made locally, we are only ordering a few dozen of them. I wonder if we have enough missiles like Prithvi, Brahmos, Agni, Nirbhay? We need thousands. And cheap attack drones like the Iranian Shahed? I'm somehow skeptical.

The general did not mention that most of the territories occupied by Russia were retaken by the Ukrainians. Russian territory is not attacked, but Ukrainian territory is. Ukraine did not receive any long-range weapons. If the Ukrainians got what they wanted from the West and were allowed to attack Russian territory, this war would look completely different, but then there would be a full escalation.

The one thing that's essential is that the military strength and resilience of a nation should be internal. Excessive dependence on arms will certainly hobble a nation's strength, and numbers also matter. Countries with large self sustaining militaries have an advantage over smaller, dependent ones. India should absolutely increase its military to twice its strength and increase the budget massively, making sure that pensions are controlled.

    Assumetric war.
America and Vietnam, America and Iraq, America and Syria, America and Syria, America and Afghanistan, America and Libya.
Hmmm why do I see a common factor in all of these wars.

No worry for India. Ayodhia solved all India’s problems. The black guy in it must be fed, clothed & washed. Concentrate on that rather.
