This was really helpful, thank you! For me the pacing was great (i.e. moving quickly to efficiently demo the process.) Since Salesforce recently added custom error messages to flows, I believe you no longer need to do the validation rule steps on the case object? But can build that error message directly into the flow itself. At least it worked it my somewhat related use case.
Hi Alex, would you know if and how it may be possible to make a tweak to your flow, and have an AND condition which also looks at the subject? So essentially: if a new case is created AND the subject is the same as the subject of an open case linked to the same asset (or to the same account for example), then treat the new case as duplicated and delete it. Great video! Suggestion:Instead of using status not equal to 'closed' use closed =false. This allows for any closed status to be included in the criteria.
