My guess is that Christina Obergfoll would have been the favorite since she threw over 70 meters previously. Barbora Spotakova didn't throw over 67 meters until the championship shown here.

She broke two NR for Czech Republic in Tokyo and the following year (2008) in Stuttgart, she broke the WR. Spotakova is the GOAT!!
