- Today on Battle Plan, it's Operation Metro! I'll talk about all the big picture strategies you can use to help you achieve victory on this Battlefield 4 map. A few times I’ve joked about making a Battle Plan for Metro, but for as much of a joke as some clustered rounds of Metro can be, I’m going to take a serious shot at this map today. In this video, I’ll go over all the tactics, strategies, and tips that you can use to help your team to victory.

Dai_Veed bf 4 has no fuken suppression, that's so bad I lose so many gunfights for this .
The only thing I used to enjoy about this map is looking for that way to push your squad past bravo to the enemy flag and turn the game around... when you pull it off it is very satisfying

Did it yesterday…been playing BF4 for years, but only just downloaded the DLC including Metro…squad took Alpha and turned the game around, it was pretty amazing. I doubt 7,8.9 years ago anyone would’ve expected these maps/servers to still be packed in 2023/24…it’s kinda crazy.

I was playing operation metro the other day and i broke through with 3 other guys. We were about to capture c, but it was better to tell our teammates to join us, so we would have more man to capture c. So i did that and nobody joined. I died. And then again. We broke through and nobody joined. I've never seen that many idiots . Lol
People really just want to play shot put simulator.
It only gets worse when everyone stacks in one area, and doesn’t get anyone throw nades or c4.
You can only win metro if you have good luck and manage to sneak through one of the routes to A if you're on us side and C if you're on Ru side

Emanuele Bertoni Look up shinobi602 on Twitter. He has leaked so many games before they were announced, including Hardline. He just teased a WWII BF game saying trailer "next Friday". A DICE dev even asked him "who the fuck are you?". So it's looking like a WWII BF game in 2016 is happening.

Oh the headaches and high blood pressure liked for a quality video and attempt and your video made it almost tolerable to watch the chaos.
darth you maybe suprised but at the start the game 3200 ticket metro game i was on USA we got pushed back all the way and at 600 tickets we managed to capture Charlie bravo and 3 or 4 squads broke through to alpha we had 534 tickets when we got to the alpha the we had medics and support guys reviving and using dmrs to take out snipers and the Russian team had 2400 tickets left we managed to win the game with 176 tickets left thats a 1700 ticket comeback!!
Yea Bro i got that too in 1600 tickets server and won with 50 tks left and got back in game by 1100 tks....DAMN GG it started with a Lock of our US team in C (Conq Small) We were pinned there for like 70% of whole match until we reached 300 tks...Then some random squad made it at A and captured it and Made a run at B as Enemy didn't bothered to move from C as it will cost their perfect position, They Made an attack at B which still didn't got most of enemies but got their LMG dudes pack their Bipod up and back at B, which Got our lock broken after We rushed in with Lvgs and M40 Smokes and got C, then My Squad went up to help Delta Squad which was alone fighting up with enemy at B and A was captured again by enemies so Delta was surrounded, We made up to them and Covered them, Meanwhile our team Rushed up B and By lot of LMG Non stop firing we managed to drive them off to Outside and Got whole Metro, then we all just freaking switched to Smokes and smoked a way to a Building in A and whole team ran up there instead of Delta and Bravo ( My squad) and Guarded any type of Entrance to B and C as we cant suffer any loss of Objectives at that time as 150 Tks were left, We Over numbered them in A as They were Surrounded by Delta and Bravo in Metro and Other squads in A and got killed in 100tks left, then We just Split into a Trench like situation and made a lock for enemies and didn't let them look at us (Alpha was MVP up in A as they have literally best snipers in game i ever seen )and also the suppression by LMGs of Charlie made it very easy while Delta, Bravo gaurded up the front lines as Assault weapons and 1-2 people gaurded Bravo as potential flank....We made it in 50 Tks and was best game i ever played
sounds like my game, we smoke our way to A then took over B & C and won.
Metro is a fun map and isn't as bad as you think it is.
A team needs to play smart to avoid the clusterfucks or spawn traps, and be even smarter breaking out of them.
Losing Bravo doesn't mean you have to constantly attack to try to get it back. Play smar
A smart American team will have most of its players ignore Charlie and sprint for Bravo at the start of the game.
Even if Bravo is lost, a smart team will then secure the subway level at all entry points, and then either defend Charlie and let the russian's do all the attacking ... or .... blanket the upper levels with smoke to get the bulk of the team up to Bravo to get kills, or push forward, which cover to take Bravo.
Usually the odd player has got lucky sneaking sneaking past the Bravo defenders to get Alpha .. but that is only because of the mindless clusterfests at the main entry points.
I don't care which team I'm on in a Metro game. I quickly work out how good the players are when I start sprinting for Bravo .... and how many enemy I encounter when I get there.
If I'm in a crap team, then it's every man for himself..
Wanna level up quickly? Put on an XP boost and farm kills.
one of my least favorite maps, LMGs DMRs + FLIR optic + bipod and grande spam and campers.
Metro will always play the same spwanrape or whoever gets to capture B first

thats why you never play on servers which have no rules, bipod+lmg is one of the least skilled things ever, so its mostly banned on good servers, also the grenade launchers should also be banned
I've got another step in the plan, either wear defensive spec oupgrade,or shadow, it depends if you are pushing hard foward and up front, or if you like to coquer from beyond, and flank on your own
still very active and full servers at peak hours, amazing

My strat as US is run support with an APS and a DMR. go up the right side stairs and set up the aps at the top of the stairs, as far to the right as possible. From that point it is just dodging nades and popping people camping the left ramp area. DMRs are best bc you can do the most damage with the least amount of face time. The APS should be fairly safe, as they're actually fairly tanky, and it is hard to land a nade at it's base bc of where it is positioned. And even if it does get destroyed, they refresh in your inventory very quickly, so just throw another one down. The goal of this strat isn't to push the locker hallway, but clear out the left side/break their will to camp so your allies can properly push. It should go without saying that you will need allies with you on this, preferably medics with close range weapons to take out anyone rushing around the corner from lockers.
There are still so many problems with players that played Metro for a long time yet play the map like it was their first time.
-don’t push early game when most players aren’t in the cluster fuck and you can get the US team B point and win the game
-20 hp res
-just bipod so far away from the cluster fuck that at that point, nothing would change if they weren’t there
-xm25, and frag round spam with nothing but using the SUPPORT CLASS WHERE THEY CAN FUCKING REPLENISH THEIR AMMO INSTANTLY
-don’t just use there angled of attack to their advantage, what I mean by that is this, in lockers, the door that leads directly to the stairs, where enemies stack, u can throw nades, c4, and m320 lvg rounds into the enemy and then light them up, or when the US have B, and u look left of the bus that is outside if you are on the RU team, there is a wall inside the building, u can hug the wall with an leg, and blast people away on the lockers hallway area
-sometimes, half the team goes to kill one player capping A or C when the bulk of the forces will push thru ur defenses soon after.
On battlefield 3 on PC I was part of a clan where all we would do is join 24/7 metro servers, all push to backdoor the enemies, and inevitably get them spawn trapped at their base. Then they would start to quit, so we would all swap teams and do it again to our ex-teammates.
8-10 people who know what they're doing and coordinate (we would usually all flank and make a distraction and sacrifice ourself for the designated recon player who would squad-swap so all of us could spawn on him after he made it) if you get like 8-10 people working together you can stomp past pretty much any team of randoms! Good times

Usually no one would listen, but it was kinda fun when teams listened and one guy became 15 very quickly!
Running b to c... one tactic I’ve found that works breaking right through the middle is smoking the bottom of the escalator, running down the railings and jumping when you get to the end of the escalator. You would be surprised how many people aren’t looking. Take the couple guys out behind the planters (silenced loadout) and make the run to c and wait for team to spawn in before capping. Great analysis again, darth!
I was playing this last night. What worked for me was the M1014, with a modified choke and buckshot or I would use frags for suppressing the alley if I were US. I wouldn't use lasers or lights due to people seeing it through smoke. I would have a G18 as a sidearm for quick kills, Flashbang grenades, medbag, and the M203 with smoke. smoke to draw attention to the cloud and flash to blind people looking at it. I got a really nice knife kill streak from it.
If you're US and lost B, getting kills is almost impossible. Every time you will get mowed down or blown up, the only kills you can get are either with explosives or a few lucky shots at a RU player who tried to push. Meanwhile, if the RU has lost B, they're still capable of getting kills due to how much more open that side of the map is, and also because the US are coming at them. In other words, your score in this map is 90% based on how your team is doing and 10% off heals/resupplies
Metro can suck, but when the teams are equal strong, you will have the time of your life :D

Locker and Metro are impossible with 64 players. Choke points are everywhere with soldiers spawning RPGs all the time. Anyways, good tactical video, hoping to see more like this. GG
If as US you dont win the intail push for B it's pretty much an L. I stopped play metro for fun. Literally only to grind weapons. And generally either leave or switch the RU. Only when I first enter server. I'm not going to argue joining a game only to be bent over and continually fuc6$%= is not an enjoyable experience. The rare occasion I dont switch is when the lobby host clan is on.
Well in the past few days I have deliberately chosen US to start from underground metro...And out 5 times 4 times I have managed to mush the stalemate line across the Bravo to Alpha ..Right in to the den of Alpha.
How....M249. don't rush...And keep the suppressive fire consistent with heavy barrel. Don't use the narrow path from underground to elevators. That's it.
Crouch and fire.
Tunnel vision of enemies will be their biggest enemy plus the added 50%percent Suppressive perk of Support ...
When I told people that I wanted this map to have lot of flanking routes or more flanking routes they said no, and I told them that the current layout Metro ruins any chance for strategy or tactics and they refuted that by just saying that Battlefield was just about running around and killing people

This map was tons of fun when I played it on BF3 on the PS3 at 12v12. I was very curious to play it on PS4 when 2nd Assault came out and felt pretty let down. My Battle Plan for whenever this map comes up is find a new server to play on. The absurd chaos at B Flag makes me not want to even bother... Also, have you thought about trying a Rush map for Battle Plan?
A few days ago, I witnessed something amazing. In 2 games, there were 3 successful pushes of the defenders off Bravo. Americans first pushed the Russians off early, then I got switched to the Russians and we pushed them back and won, then next game, the Americans shoved the Russians off before they capped the flag completely.
This is why this game is still epic!!!!

@@massineben7198 yes, the nazi. He would often lure enemies back into a trap he laid for them, usually with a bunch of 88mm flak cannons dug into the ground to be used as anti tank cannons.
Also he was probably killed by Hitler. Rommel seems much more like a German patriot caught in the wrong time than a nazi.

I'm not joking. Why didn't you mention the effectiveness of an SUAV at the start of the game if you're on the US team? It can help the US cap B right off the bat.
+Tricky Troll It only works if the server doesn't nuke the SUAV after the first death it inflicts. And if you've spent an inordinate amount of time practicing SUAV flight.
Personally if he asked me Nuketown was a much better map van Metro if you're looking for chaotic infantry combat, the reason? It's because Nuketown is balance between both sides and it's basically a cul-de-sac circle shape sure it's chaos, but there are tons of opportunities in such a small map despite Nuketown being less than half the size of Metro I tend to like it more than Metro

metro was made to be a rush map meaning very linear 3 lane of combat. and i say its the best rush map in bf4 as long as you hve 32 players instead of 64.. thing that pisss me off this map never has a rush server on console..

+raghav rudhra That's a tough one to break through. In 64 player it pretty much requires all your team to make an effort. I generally try working my way up the front doors, to the offices immediately inside. Then sweeping the eastern doors from cover, on to the next office, and then the western doors. That is a situation you pretty much need a coordinated squad to break through.

hi darth, why does it seem like you have no recoil when hes shooting? i mean like if youre using high sensitivity to counter the recoil then wouldnt it be hard to aim and strafe? and is it advisable to strafe and shoot?
should i use a vertical grip if i am one who usually strafe and shoot?

For what it's worth, I played some Metro last night where I had the chance to rectify that mistake. 3-bang.

***** True, though I've found the initial push for US not to be much more difficult. If you are competent (which shouldn't be too difficult compared to the average metro pleb) you can push in just as the RU side sets up, kill those on the point (they always sit near the "map" and soda dispensers) and take over. Sadly, this does require 2 or more players to have a decent chance at success, which means teamwork, which doesn't happen on Metro.

***** Indeed. Sadly these players fail to realise that a good KD will come naturally to a player that is improving in all aspects of battlefield, and try to fill their satisfaction with just KD-whoring to no end. Atleast they stay away from the real battlefield most of the time :P
I see no logic in You Tube commentators snivelling about campers. In a real life war, campers hold down corridors or make it difficult for the enemy to flank. So to me, complaining about campers is only done by snivelers who have no concept of military tactics.
Two things. One, "camping" with a light machine gun is a tactic known as "area denial", to suppress the enemy and prevent them from moving forward. It's legitimate. That's the whole point of a light machine gun. With shotguns, they aren't exactly DMRs. You have to find ambush opportunities or close range engagements to use them. As for both, they suck when you have to deal with them but that's just how it is.
And two, why are you censoring "fucking" and "cunts"? Are you afraid Mom or Dad'll find out and ground you?
Also in real life there are no rules or timers, no external force will tell you that you lost the battle if you don't push. You have infinite time to figure out how to deal with that position, within reason obviously.
Well let’s be honest Darth. Any map with the name “Operation” is a bad map. Except Operation Outbreak.
