Sonata Arctica has been touring with Night Wish more than once, and Tony is actually one of the closest friends to Tuomas. They are hiking together every year. Tony was also the one who supported Tuomas to continue, when he had this depression phase in 2005.
I personally like Sonata Arctica as much as Nightwish. Both are amazing bands 👍
Check out this performance. It is priceless. Tony’s solo performance with a symphony orchestra. He’s singing Queen’s ”Bohemian Rhapsody”. The audience is not any typical rock concert people. Camera man get’s a bit distracted occasionaly 😁 …but Tony does amazing job. 👍

I was mere than 20 years ago listening Tony Kakko and Tarja singing Beaty and the Best in Tampere (best concert I have ever been: From Wishes To Eternity. Tony also sing in Raskasta Joulua concerts as Marko and Floor. Also Marko and Tony are for members of the Northern Kings. There have many mind blowing performances in Finland were the quality and the amount of singers has been way beyond comprehension. Sadly those are not widely known.

Tony has a great voice. He also did a very good version (IMO) of Bohemian Rhapsody several years ago. It's on YT if you get a chance to check it out.
Yes, Tony is awesome! I do think his voice doesn’t really fit in this song but he is absolutely a great singer.
I love the song he performed live with Nightwish back in 2000 (From Wishes to Eternety concert), it's called Beauty and the Beast. Definitely check that one out too. It's great!
Tony also sang in the 2001 remake version of Astral Romance.
Tony is part of Raskasta Joulua tour, pretty much every Christmas. He sings there with other amazing vocalists like Marko and sometimes Floor and Tarja have taken part in it too.😊

Power of Floor is nearby unmatched (Marko?)...
Seen Tony live and he is amazing. But this makes me think I need to appreciate more that Marko can actually hang with Floor as she just can overpower anyone.

The mix of this show is not Nightwish, but Rock in Rio, specially Kai is sometimes a bit high in the mix but I enjoyed it, like the camera man enjoyed Floor's legs. Best song of this show for me: Yours is an empty hope!
Floor changed her voice to fit and balance Tonys voice. A lot chest voice, only a bit mixed voice. Thats the reason she's an incredible duett partner. But I still prefere Tampere. Also the hole audio and mix I like more.

Sorry but Tony does not sound right in this song. Best versions are just Floor and Marko.
Tony’s mic is garbage, and he’s not that great either.
