The project is looking great. Just a caution on the placing of mulch. You do not want mulch going up to the siding or foundation of your house for reasons of termite tunneling not being spotted and the rotting wood also draws termite concerns. Placing rocks or river stone is a safer choice.
Looks good but I'm wondering why you didn't sow grass seed in all of that flat area. It's going to be a nightmare to clean up leaves, etc out of that mulch and especially the pine straw.

Just an heads up, if you want the mulch to stay in place consider spraying it with mulch glue. That thing works wonders
I thought about doing that, but I was thinking it was going to take so much glue.

I like the mulch look it has not been to bad with the leaves
Why didn't you just use the same stone instead of mulch?
Cost was too much
