ik this is super late, but it's the disregard for the possible issues that could've come up from suddenly teleporting to the dorm instead of being in the mirror chamber
for intance, smthg may need to be discussed in say the garden or smthg and the housewardens would need to see it in person. had malleus teleported them then, it would make the whole meeting moot point because they wouldn't be in the garden to discuss and issue that needs to be seen to be understood !!!
